As Erika would say "We are doing it!" We are making the weekly fun happen. This week we decided to take the kids to see the new Minions movie. Everyone came- even Luke and Riley! It was so fun. Gray was so cute and dressed up for the occasion. I am so glad that we are making time to go and do fun things this summer. Next week, Museum of Curiosity. Love these friends.
We are the Childs family. Joey and I have been married for 23 years. We five beautiful and busy children: Luke is 21, Harlee is 18, Nash is 16, Gray is 15, and Tag is 13. Our days are CRAZY! We never stop going but love every minute of it!

Fourth of July
I woke up so excited to have a day off and more family time. The kids spent the morning relaxing while I got some food ready for our night with the Childs. We went out to lunch- the boys got JCW and Har and I got Costa Vida. It was so fun to eat and visit. At 6:30pm we went to Jamie and Mindi's for a bbq and a little swimming. John and Darolyne, Jamie, Mindi, Hailee, Ty, Wyatt, and Riley were there. It was so fun to eat and chat. After dinner Ty set off a few fireworks that they had bought before heading over to the baseball field for the firework show. Grandpa and Luke did not go to the fireworks but everyone else was there. The firework show was AMAZING! I so love this tradition and hope it continues for many years to come.

Upper Provo Falls
To kick off the fourth of July holiday, in true Joey fashion, we got out of the house and went to the Upper Provo Falls. The drive there was a little over an hour. We packed some snacks and we were on our way. The kids wore their swimsuits and were excited to wade in the falls. The traffic there was kind of awful. We passed the time by playing the music game. Joey chose the 50 top songs for 2022 and I was so impressed with the kids skills. Luke especially- so amazing. It was so much fun. We made it to the falls and were lucky to get a parking spot. The water was cold but that did not stop the three younger boys from getting in. It was so beautiful. We hiked to a couple different parts of the falls and had a great time. On the way home we stopped by a nudist colony we saw on the way up- I had no idea those places still existed, especially in Utah. Luke and Har wanted to take a picture by the sign. I sent a picture to Joey's siblings proposing the idea for the next sibling trip. So funny! We decided to get the Pie for dinner on our way back. It was pretty much a perfect day. I love my family.

Nash's week at FSY
This week it was Nash's turn to go to FSY. He roomed with his friend Dylan and their friends Tanner and Treyson. Dylan's mom took them down on Monday afternoon and I picked them up today. Nash had a bit of a rough start. He was not loving it until Tuesday afternoon. From then on he had the best time. His favorite day was Thursday, the spiritual day. He told me that he felt the spirit so strong during the testimony meeting. He even got up and bore his testimony. Friday night they had a dance. Nash was looking for a girl to ask when a counselor came up to him and asked if he had met his friend! Before Nash knew it, he was dancing with a lady for the first time. The lady was not his type but at least he got the first dance over with. I picked them up this morning and we went to Kneaders for breakfast. It was fun to hear all about their week. I really missed him! I am so glad that he had a great time.
