Another Year for the Books...

I cannot believe that another year has come and gone! Also we are heading into a new decade- that is so crazy!  I think of how much has happened over the last ten years and I cannot believe the growth.  In 2010 I was pregnant with Gray and our oldest child was 6- fast forward ten years and we are a family of seven with the kids ranging from 15 - 7.  Time sure flies when you are crazy busy and loving life.  Here is a little wrap up for each of those blessings in my life:

Luke- This has been such a year of growth for Luke.  He is doing great in his sophomore year.  He has many great friends and he is so fun to be around.  He spent the year being the teacher quorum president and is such a great example to his quorum.  Luke still loves Lowes and spending time on the trampoline.  When he is not with friends he is spending time with his brothers.  They have so much fun together.  He is looking forward to getting his license in June and getting his first job.  I am so proud of him.

Harlee- What a great year for Har this year.  She started 7th grade and has gotten straight A's in her first two terms- so amazing.  She is still doing dance and has cut down to one hour a week but she loves it.  She got her braces off and her smile looks perfect.  She has so many friends and loves to hang out with them.  She has also been babysitting quite a bit and saving her money.  This coming year she will officially become a teenager.  I pray she stays fun and sweet and still wants to hang out with her mom.  She is truly a blessing to me.

Nash-  After spending the first part of the year at Ignite, Nash is back at Traverse Mountain and is loving life.  He is doing amazing in school and has so many great friends.  Nash has spent the year improving with his swimming.  He goes to practice five days a week with minimal complaint and is make sure progress.  Nash is a goal setter.  He made a promise to read his scriptures every night and he never misses.  He also never misses a night of hugging Joey and I before bed.  He is such a good kid and I am beyond lucky to be his mom.

Gray-  This has been a great year for Gray!  He is thriving in school and in anything that he does.  His teacher loves him and said he is the best in the class at math.  He has also been given the opportunity to teach those in his class how to do the math assignments that he aces.  He is still doing swim and is doing amazing.  I love that he is sticking with it even though it is not easy.  He is still such a great friend to Tag and all the boys really do love spending time together.  Gray is so fun and is such a blessing in our family.

Tag-  Oh my sweet baby!  He is my kiddo that reminds me numerous times a day that he loves me.  He is doing so great in school!  His teacher is Mrs. Christensen and she is the best.  She loves Tag and he is thriving.  He loves to play on his ipad and to spend time with his siblings.  This next year he will be starting the activity program at church.  So exciting.  He is also still doing ABI on Monday's. They moved locations and now they have so much room for games like laser tag and they have an xbox.  It is so not difficult to encourage Tag to go on Mondays!  I so love this boy and he is the best completion to our family.

Joey is still working at Teva.  He is now the Senior Director of Supply Chain.  He spends his time between the east and the west site.  He is such a hard worker and an asset to his company.  He is still in the bishopric and that is a time consuming calling.  I am so grateful for his service and the blessings that come to our family.  I had my best year so far with work- actually made six figures.  I cannot believe that I can work from home and make that money- such a blessing.  I was recently called to serve in the nursery and I am loving it.  Since I do not have any babies at home I love that I get to snuggle these sweet babies at church.  Joey and I are about to celebrate 18 years of marriage.  I cannot believe it has been 18 years.  He is truly my greatest blessing and my best friend.  We are so blessed and I cannot wait to see what 2020 has in store for us.

New Year's Eve

We decided to leave St. George last night so that we could get home and have the whole New Year's Eve Day at home.  We had a nice day of relaxing before the festivities kicked in!  We made fajitas for dinner and then set in on the puzzle.  After the puzzle was done we all settled in front of the tv to eat junk watch some funny shows.  It was so nice being together as a family.  We watched the ball drop and everyone made it!  Such a fun night and we are so looking forward to making 2020 a great year!

Christmas Break in St. George

We left on Friday morning and made it down to St. George after lunch.  We were so excited to be there to spend a few days in our favorite place.  On Friday we just relaxed and went grocery shopping to load up on some food.  We cooked dinner that night and enjoyed the night together.  On Saturday we went to a new ninja warrior park.  It was really cold but the kids had a great time.  Then we all went to dinner at Pizza Factory.  It was a nice and relaxing day.  Sunday was a chill day.  We went to Fiesta Fun and played the arcades.  The kids had so much fun earning tickets.  There was one game where all of them got the jackpot and received over 100 tickets.  After Fiesta Fun we went across the street to this new park.  It was a little warmer than Saturday and the kids had so much fun playing on the equipment.  I love watching them all have fun together.  After the park we went to Chili's for dinner.  The waiter was so overwhelmed so we ended up being there for a long time.  I did not mind though, the kids were all so good and we had a great time.  On Monday I took the kids minus Luke to swim at the rec center.  We went early enough so it was not too crowded.  We grabbed lunch on the way home and then Joey and I went out to try Green Iguana.  It was pretty bad so I do not think we will be going there again.  We got home and Joey took all of the boys back to the ninja warrior park and on a hike.  Har and I stayed behind to clean as we were preparing to drive home in the morning.  Around 7pm we decided to just work really hard to get the cleaning done and leave to drive home.  We were in the car by 8:30pm and home by midnight.  It was such a nice little break and I am so grateful that we are blessed enough to have our special place to make memories as a
family.

Christmas 2019

The kids waited until 6:30 am and then they rushed into our room anxious to go downstairs to see if Santa came.  After the obligatory picture we went downstairs and the kids were so excited.  Santa did not disappoint!  The kids were spoiled for sure!  Here are the highlights: Luke got a new phone and apple watch, Har got an apple watch and air pods, Nash Gray and Tag each got new ipads.  The family got a new gaming computer which turned out to be a bigger hit than expected.  After all of the presents we enjoyed a breakfast of homemade waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.  We spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying some family time.  I am so grateful for Christmas and the love that surrounds me.  We are truly blessed.

Christmas Eve

We had the Lovelace family party last night which meant we were able to spend all of Christmas Eve together as a family.  We had our gift exchange this morning and then we went to JCW for lunch as a family.  Har and I got Costa Vida.  After eating the kids wanted to go to the park.  The weather was kind of amazing- almost 50 degrees.  After a nice afternoon we made dinner together and then opened a few more gifts.  The kids each got new pjs and a weighted blanket.  They each also opened their date letters for the coming year and I cannot wait to spend time with each of them trying something new.  After we all changed into our jammies we watched Elf as a family.  I love that movie and I love being surrounded by my favorite people.  After the movie we got Santa's plate ready and the kids all settled in Gray and Tag's room together to wait for Santa to come.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
