Mimi's Birthday Celebration
Today we surprised Mimi and met her at PF Changs for her 60th birthday celebration. GP is at a halfway house now and gets to spend his Saturday's with my mom. We arranged it with him to have my mom come to PF Changs at noon. She walked in to see all of her Utah based kids. We had such a nice lunch chatting and catching up. We ended the lunch by sharing a huge piece of chocolate cake. It was nice to have lunch with my Dad. He is released on June 5th so only about 3 more months until hopefully he can get back to normal life.

Tag is 6!!
Tonight we got to celebrate my baby's birthday. I cannot believe that Tag is 6! It feels like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital to complete our family. Tag has taught me so much over the last six years and I have grown in so many ways because of him. Tag wanted a Curious George cake so Luke was sweet to decorate the cake for me. He did an amazing job. Tag got the ball and Luigi gloves he was begging to get for his birthday. He also got a few new shirts and his own green bike! I was nervous that he might get frustrated trying to learn how to ride the bike. But within seconds he was riding the bike all around the house. Tag, you never cease to amaze me. You have worked so hard to learn and grown and I could not be more blessed to be your mom.
Tag's Classroom Birthday Celebration
Today I got to go to Tag's class and take treats for him to share with his friends to celebrate his birthday. Tag chose to have white frosted cookies. It was so fun to see him enjoy the attention. This is new for our little guy. The kids all sang happy birthday to him and then they all enjoyed the cookies. Tag decided that he wanted to come home with me after the cookies. Sounded perfect to me! I wanted to spend as much of his special day with him as possible.

Tag's Birthday Party
This was the first year ever that Tag asked to have a birthday party. He wanted to invite all of his friends and I was so excited! Tag has made so much progress and his desire to have a party speaks volumes! So I gave him a choice of Kangeroo Zoo or Coconut Cove. He chose Coconut Cove and was counting down the days. He invited 9 of his friends and 8 of them were able to come. He invited Ava, Olivia, Cole, Cohen, Ari, Roxee, Quinn, Kai, and Mia. Some of the kids were from school, some from his therapy class, and the others were from his church class. They had so much fun playing at Coconut Cove and I loved how contained they were. After playing for over an hour we went to the party room to open presents and have frosted white cookies-Tag's choice! Such a fun time and I was loving watching Tag interact with all of his friends. He was gracious when he received his presents and thanked everyone. So proud of you Tag!

Our Little Artist
Tag is following in his brother's footsteps! He is quite the artist. He loves to draw all of the time. He is really good at it. I am super impressed and I really love that he has a passion for something other than video games.

Chocolate!
Today in Primary the sang to Tag since his birthday is coming up this next week. The gave him a chocolate bar for his birthday gift. I was so proud that he did not freak out because he does not like chocoate. In fact he was adament that no one would eat his chocolate. Harlee told him that eating chocolate makes you strong. So Tag insisted on trying it. I was so proud of him. He took three little bites. It was not his favorite but the fact that he would try it is amazing. Way to go Tag! I really wish that I did not love chocolate like you! Love his expression. He is trying so hard to like it!

Harlee's Dance Competition
Today we had Harlee's Dance Competition at Taylorsville High School. Her first dance, her jazz dance On Broadway, was scheduled to go on at 10 am. So we left around 8am so she would be on time. She did an amazing job on her jazz dance. She was super nervous about a lift she had to do at the beginning of the dance but it went perfectly. She is such a great performer and I loved every second of watching her. Her next dance was not scheduled to go on until 1:10pm so we went and grabbed a snack before shopping a little at TJ Maxx. She got a couple of cute shirts for spring. We made it back in time to get her ready for her hip hop dance "Queen Bee". She performed her heart out and did such a great job. She exudes joy while she dances and watching her makes my dreams come true. I love that I get to share this with her. We celebrated with a little In and Out on the way home. Such a special day!
Lucky is lucky again!
The kids worked hard on their trap determined to catch Lucky this year. They made a luxurious hotel for him complete with a comfy bed, gold coins, lucky charms, and other ammenities. As nice as the trap was it was not enough to coerce Lucky to stay. He did leave the kids some green treats and left his mark around the house. He turned pictures upside down, left green jelly bean tracks, turned vases over, stacked the couch pillows, and left evidence of himself in the potty! The kids were so excited to wake up and see if he they were successful. Maybe next year...
