We left Friday night to get to St. George. I was so excited and ready for a vacation. We spent Saturday in St. George. We went to a few garage sales and then Joey and I went to Cafe Sabor for lunch. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and went to bed early so we could get up and on the road to California. We left around 7am and we were on our way. We arrived in CA around noon California time and we stopped at In & Out. We picked up lunch for Nannie and Mimi on our way for a visit. Mimi was there visiting Nannie for spring break. We ate lunch and visited for a couple hours. It was nice to catch up and she could not believe how grown up all of the kids were. After our visit we headed to the beach. The weather was perfect and almost everyone had an amazing time, almost everyone. Luke had neglected to finish his antibiotic from strep throat and so he was not feeling great. He laid on a towel in the sand while the kids all went in the water. We stayed a couple of hours but the kids could have stayed longer. When Tag came out of the water he said "That was AMAZING!". So cute! We left the beach and went to our hotel in Irvine. We splurged a little and got a suite. It was the best. We had two rooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a living room. Harlee slept in the living room on the sleeper sofa. All the boys shared a room and Joey and I had a room. It was so nice! Joey went and grabbed dinner for us while everyone showered. Everyone was in bed by 8pm. We need our rest for our big day tomorrow at Disneyland. Wish me luck...
We are the Childs family. Joey and I have been married for 23 years. We five beautiful and busy children: Luke is 21, Harlee is 18, Nash is 16, Gray is 15, and Tag is 13. Our days are CRAZY! We never stop going but love every minute of it!

Much needed Update
Poor Gray and Tag. There room has kind of been the mismatched room and I have never really decorated it. We are slowly changing that! We bought matching twin beds and bedding. I love it! I am hoping to buy some new artwork and decor over the next little while. Loving how it is coming together and the boys love sleeping with their beds going the same direction.
Backpack Gems
Today I was cleaning out Tag's backpack and I found some of his artwork from St. Patrick's Day. He drew such a cute leprechaun but the pot of gold artwork was my favorite. He had to write about who was worth more than gold. He wrote: "My mom is worth more than gold because my mom does all of my stuff when I am sick. I love my mom." I love Tag so much and I am so grateful for all the many ways he makes me feel loved. This sweet boy has my heart!

Cashing in on Tag's present
For one of Tag's birthday presents he requested that we get a family game. We bought a Jack Box party pack and decided to try it out tonight. It was seriously so much fun. They had a game called Faking It that we all loved. It also has Quiplash 2 and a couple of other games. I love family game night. I love seeing the creative answers that these smart kiddos come up with! They are so witty. What a fun night!

Growing Up
For the last few weeks I have been teasing Luke about his mustache. He kept swearing that it was just peach fuzz. He finally inquired Joey's opinion of his facial hair and Joey agreed with me! The upper lip decoration was dark hair and not just peach fuzz. It was time for Joey to teach Luke how to shave. Luke did a great job and I do not miss the mustache at all! He is seriously getting too old! I wish I could stop time...
My Baby is 7
Happy 7th Birthday Tag! Time needs to slow down! I cannot believe this sweet boy is growing up. I am so proud of all of the progress he has made. He is thriving at school and making friends. To celebrate Tag we started the day with his favorite cinnamon rolls. Harlee and Nash made him a cute birthday sign. We all got ready and went to All Star Bowling. We spent an hour bowling before heading over to the arcade. Tag started the fun with a Rabbid virtual reality game. It was so fun to watch him do this! Then the kids all took turns playing games and then gave all of the tickets to Tag. He spent his tickets on a sticky ball and a slinky. We then went to 7-11 for Tag's favorite slurpees. When we got home Tag got to open his presents. He got a couple Mario shirts, a Mario holder for the switch controls, a new family game on the Xbox, and a new Super Mario switch game. Mimi and GP then came over and brought him a big Mario. He loved it. We waited until sunset (Tag's sweet request) to have cake. I decorated the cake with green frosting and a number seen. Tag told me he wished I had put Mario on his cake. Oh the honesty! I hope Tag had the best day and knows how much he is loved.
Gray's birthday gift to Tag
Today is Tag's birthday and Gray wanted to make Tag feel special. I guess a while ago Tag said it would be so great if there was a Yes day where everyone had to say yes when you asked them to do anything. So Gray made Tag a coupon saying that he would give him a yes day! He also made him another coupon for one awesome adventure together. He also used some of his tickets to buy a fun dip and laffy taffy to add to the gift. It was so sweet. I love the relationship that these two boys have. Gray is always looking out for Tag and they truly a beautiful friendship.

Gray's Special Date
March was Gray's month for his special date with Mom and Dad. We decided that tonight would be the best time since tomorrow is Tag's birthday and then we leave next Friday for our trip to Cali and St. George. As soon as Joey got home from work we took off. Gray wanted to go to In and Out for dinner. We feasted on delicious hamburgers while we chatted with Gray. It is so fun to hear all about what is going on in Gray's life. After dinner we drove to Orem to go to Nickel City. We put $20 on the player card and we were able to play games for about 2 hours. It was so much fun. Gray's favorite game were piano keys, ski ball, air hockey, and the ticket games. Gray earned over 900 tickets and cashed in on a bunch of candy. We had the best time. I love these dates and I think that this is a tradition that I hope to keep going for a long time.

Tag classroom birthday celebration
Tag's teacher, Mrs. Davis, was going to be out of town on Friday so she asked if we would be ok celebrating Tag's birthday a couple days early. He got to celebrate with his classmate Lindsey. She had them each tell a few of their favorite things and this the other students got to ask them questions. It was so cute! Then the two of them went up to the front of the classroom and the students sang Happy Birthday. After the song, Tag and Lindsey passed out the treats they had brought to share. Tag asked me to bring his favorite donuts from walmart. What a special day! I cannot say enough how much I appreciate Tag's teacher and all that she does to make him feel loved.
