School's Out for Summer

Tag and Luke finished school on Wednesday and today was the last day for Harlee, Nash, and Gray.  They finished at 10:45am and were greeted on the corner with the annual popsicle party.  Luke opted to stay home but Tag came with me to celebrate.  I love that our neighborhood does this.  So fun to celebrate another year of school for the books!  Hopefully I can survive the summer with work and all of the kids home!  Wish me luck!

Gray is 8

Happy Birthday Gray!  Cannot believe this cute boy is 8!  This year is a little different than last since he was still in school on his birthday.  Luckily it was a fun school day since they got to spend most of it playing at the park.  Gray also brought some airheads to share with his friends.  We went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner- Gray's favorite place!  He got to have the pazookie since it was his special day!  We came home to open presents and have some cake.  Gray was super excited because he got a new bike, four new wii games, and some new clothes.  The weather was perfect so after cake we got to go outside and watch him try out his present.  I am so grateful to have Gray in our family.  He is so funny and such a great friend to his brothers and sister.  Can't wait to see him get baptized at the end of the week.

Memorial Day 2018

Oh how I love days off!  It is so nice to be able to take a break from work and spend some time together as a family.  We exercised in the morning and then we took off to Chubby's to keep the tradition going.  After a delicious lunch we gassed up the car, got shakes at Arctic Circle, and we set off to experience the Nebo loop.  The kids were a little less than excited that it was 45 minutes away but their griping ceased as soon as they saw how beautiful it was.  We made three stops on the loop.  The first was a look out point that was beautiful.  We walked around a little bit until it started to rain.  The next stop was for some of us to experience using the bathroom in nature!  The final stop was at Devil's Kitchen.  It was starting to rain harder but that did not stop us.  It was so worth it.  What a beautiful place.  Red rocks in the middle of no where.  It was so lucky that another family got there at the same time so we could take pictures of the whole family for each other.  Such a fun day with my favorite people!!

Bringing back the Quiplash

It has been a long time since we played one of our favorite games together.  Since tomorrow is a holiday we decided it would be a good night.  We each got our devices ready and even Tag played with us this time.  It was so fun to see the answers that they would come up with.  So clever and we could not stop laughing!  I LOVE my family.  We have the best time together and they are my greatest blessings.

Gray's Baptism Pictures

This coming Saturday is Gray's baptism.  I seriously cannot believe that he is 8!  We bought him a new suit and he looks so cute!  The lighting was perfect after dinner tonight so I asked him to get dressed up and we took a few pictures to put out at his baptism.  They all turned out so cute!  It will be so hard to pick just one!  So proud of Gray and the decision he is making to be baptized.

Gray's Turn

We are really doing this!  It is sad to admit that I am so proud that I am following through!  For Christmas we gifted each child a date with Joey and I.  Today was Gray's turn!  We started the fun at Jack and Jills.  We bowled first and it was a blast.  Joey started off a little slow and Gray and I thought we might have a chance to win.  No such luck!  Once he loosened up the strikes kept coming.  Joey may have had a higher score than Gray and I combined! Still such a fun time bowling with cute Gray!  Then we went and played some arcade games.  Gray was amazing and kept racking up the tickets.  Our favorite game was the ball bounce.  We could all play together and it was so fun.  Gray spent his tickets on a huge pixie stick, a candy necklace, and few other gems!  We worked up quite an appetite so we went to Chili's to recover!  Gray feasted on pizza, fries, and some icecream.  It was so fun to chat with Gray and enjoy a little one on one time with him.  I love this idea and I think it will make another appearance this Christmas.  It is not only fun for the kids but such a gift to Joey and I.  Thanks for the amazing date Graby!!

Traverse Mountain Dance Festival

Today was the annual dance festival at the elementary school.  It was so weird to go by myself but it was such a blessing since I needed to switch my seat around to be able to watch the kids because each dance faced a different way.  Luckily wherever I ended up, the kids saw me and knew that I was there watching and supporting them.  Seriously all that matters!  They all did an amazing job.  Nash was first out of the three and he did the 4th grade dance to Immortal since he is in a 3rd and 4th grade combined class this year.  Gray was up next and he was front and center.  He danced to "Better when I'm dancing".  He was sporting his super cute/embarassed smile.  Harlee was the last to perform and she also had her embarrassed grin!  She performed to the Greatest Showman and used ribbons as a prop.  I was so proud of all of them!  So fun to watch them perform.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
