Nash is our Student of the Month

Today Nash came home with a certificate for Student of the Month! It was the month of kindest and I am so not surprised that Nash was chosen. He is such a nice and kind boy always looking for ways to serve others and make them happy. This is what his teacher wrote about him: "Nash is very good at showing kindness to others and being a good friend. He helps others when they need it and is a good example of following classroom rules. We are so glad that he's in our class! Mrs. Wirick" So so proud of you Nash! You are truly a blessing to have in our family.

Childs Family Dinner

Last night we had all of the Childs over for dinner. John and Darolyne were in town for a week from St. George so we thought we would all get together since it had been a few months since we all saw each other at Hailee's wedding. So we had a pasta bar and had the best time together. Everyone except KC was able to make it. It was such a fun night. I am so grateful to be a part of the Childs family. I just love them so much!

Harlee's Thanksgiving Point Dance Competition

Last night Harlee had a dance competition at Thanksgiving Point. Luke was nice enough to babysit so that Joey and I could go watch her. She competed with two dances. The first one was a jazz dance to "Mr. Zootsuit"! It was such a cute dance. Harlee did amazing. I loved watching her and how good she has gotten. I kept telling Joey that I was going to cry! Seriously my dream to watch my daughter dance! Her second number was a hip hop to the song "Robots". I loved this dance- they were so together and sharp. Harlee danced so well. They were awarded first place for both of the dances. I am so glad that Harlee loves to dance. I LOVE watching her and cheering her on!

Nash is riding a two wheeler!!

Nash has been a little apprehensive to ride a bike without training wheels. When we went on our family bike ride in St. George, Nash rode a scooter. I told him that I would help him practice so that the next time we are in St. George he will be able to ride a bike with us! The weather was so nice yesterday so he got his bike out. He went up and down the sidewalk. I held onto him a couple times but then he was good! He didn't need my help! So proud of you Nash! You are so brave and so determined to do hard things!

Provo Temple Open House

Saturday morning we had the opportunity to go through the Provo Temple. The Provo Temple was originally the Tabernacle which was destroyed by an electrical fire. When the church decided to rebuild it they decided to make it a temple. This is the first time that any of the our kids have been through the temple. What a wonderful experience. It was truly beautiful. In the rooms used for endowment sessions there are beautiful murals painted all around the rooms. They are amazing. The kids could not get over the beautiful chandelier in the Celestial Room. What a special day to be able to see this beautiful temple surrounded by my family. So grateful for temples and the blessing that I can have to be with them forever.

Cougarette Showcase

Yesterday I had another opportunity to share my love of dance with my favorite little dancer! Tiffini and Addie invited us to go on their annual date to the BYU Cougarette Showcase. I remember going to the Cougarette Showcase when I was in college and I jumped at the opportunity to do this with Harlee. We first went to lunch at Black Sheep Cafe. It was really good food. Then we went to the show and I LOVED it. The dancers are so talented and it made me miss dancing. I told Harlee that I would love for her to be a Courgarette someday! Such a wonderful show and so grateful to enjoy it with my favorite girl.

Never a dull moment!

Tag is such a bright light in our family. Although he can be a little bossy, telling Joey to go work on his computer so he can use the family one, he is always making us laugh. I mentioned in the last post that Tag now has a favorite "pose" that he does for every photo opportunity. The pose consists of pointing and opening his mouth up as wide as he can! So cute! He also has no problem telling it like it is and blaming everything on Gray. The other night just Tag and I were driving home from the doctor when I hit a pothole. At that moment tons of water splashed on the windshield and Tag said "Mom, it was Gray!" He cracks me up! Yesterday we were looking at pictures on my phone and I was asking him who was in the picture. I came to a picture of me and Joey. When I asked him who it was he responded "That is my mom and Gray's dad!" He is so funny. We are so grateful that we followed the prompting to have one more kiddo after Gray. Tag is such a blessing in our family. He teaches me so much and I cannot imagine our family without this funny kid!

Our crazy bunch

The other night, after the kids apparently had too much sugar, they came into our room acting super silly! They were making us laugh with their altered wardrobes and funny faces. I told them that I wanted them to pose for a picture and Tag jumped off the bed saying "Pose!". He immediately hit his famous pointing pose! These kids crack me up! I love that most of the time they all have so much fun together. Such a blessing after the craziness of having babies for all of those years!

Harlee's 9 year old checkup

As I type this I still cannot believe that my baby girl is 9! When did this happen? She is such a joy in my life! We had her 9 year old check up and she is looking super healthy! She is 48.5 inches tall which puts her in the 95th percentile. She weighs 85 lbs which is the 90th percentile. The doctor said she is very proportionate which is great. He then started talking about periods and puberty and I realized that I might need to have a little chat with her on the way home!! A little sooner than I anticipated but I gave her just the briefest cliff notes version to hold her over until she is a little older! Dr. Stampfl kept talking about her height and how she needs to get involved in basketball or volleyball to capitalize on this gift! He said she will probably be between 5'10 and 6'1! So crazy! She is doing so great and I am so lucky to be her mom!

First Dino experience of the year

We were super blessed to get another Thanksgiving Point membership from Jamie and Mindi for Christmas. We have already visited the Museum of Curiosity and this week we went to the Dinosaur Museum. Tag and Gray had such a good time. Since they are so little they go through the whole thing in about 30 minutes and then they want to go get slurpees! It is great because it gets us out of the house but we can fit in an activity before they both go off to school. So grateful that these two have each other every morning and so blessed that they almost always have fun together!

Sunday in St. George

We had so much fun on our last full day. We spent the morning hanging out and Joey read to the kids- seriously so cute! We then went on a hike up in Pioneer Park. They have remodeled this whole area and it was so fun to see plants and fish! It was really nice to have everyone walk and we didn't need a back pack. We went back to the house and spent a few hours in the pool. The weather was perfect! Joey's parents and KC came over for a BBQ and it was so nice to spend time with them. After dinner, Joey took the kids to see the pertrigraphs while I cleaned to go. It was another amazing day! Cannot wait for Spring Break so we can spend even longer there. So blessed to have this beautiful home where we can strengthen our family by making amazing memories!

Saturday in St. George

Such a fun day! We started the day off with a family bike ride! It was so cold but I was so excited to have everyone go together! After the bike ride, the Jensen's came over to swim and have pizza. It was so fun to have them over! They are such a fun family! After they left we spent more time relaxing. I took Luke shopping at TJ Max and then a little stop at the DI. We picked up some food for dinner and then went to get some ice cream. Such a wonderful night! Love love love St. George!

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
