Luke gets his orange belt

On Monday Luke tested for his orange belt in karate. He was so nervous but did amazing! I could not believe all of the things that he has learned and memorized. What a smart boy! He did a great job and is now an orange belt!! We are so proud of you Luke!

Girls Weekend

A few weeks ago my friend Marisa asked me if I would want to go to Park City with some girls from our ward. I talked it over with Joey and he nudged me to go. I think I am turning into a homebody or I really just love being with my family but I was a bit nervous to go. I am so glad I did though. It was so fun to get to know these amazing ladies and make some new friends. We stayed at a condo that was really nice. After dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and a stop for some treats, we made it back about 9pm. We all sat around the coffee table and talked until 4am!! I do not remember the last time I stayed up that late- college? We woke up the next morning, went out for a yummy breakfast and spent the afternoon shopping at the outlets. What a fun weekend! So grateful for such a supportive husband who pushes me to do these things.

Always a Helper

Poor Nash had a hard night. Sweet Joey was up rocking Gray, who also was having a hard night, when Nash came walking in our room. He said "Dad, I need a wipe it up?" Joey did not understand what he was talking about but followed him into his room. Nash had thrown up and was going to clean it up himself. What a sweetheart! So Joey woke me up and I bathed Nash while Joey took his bedding off. We got him a bowl and made him a little bed on the floor by us. We settled down for about 5 minutes when he threw up again. He tried to catch it in his hands and luckily most of it made it in the bowl. Quickly he got up and ran to get a towel in the bathroom. He said "A wipe it up?" How cute is he that he is so not concerned with how he is feeling, just wants to clean up the mess. So Joey took his familiar position cleaning up the mess and I gave Nash another bath. Thankfully that was the last time he was sick and we all got a few hours of sleep. He is doing great today and I am so grateful for that! What a sweet helper we have been blessed with!!

Seriously??

Morning sickness seems to make almost everything unbearable. Both Nash and Gray had stinky diapers within minutes of each other. I held my breath and gagged through it all while looking at this view....

Seriously? How does a kitchen get like this? And who the heck is going to clean it? Certainly not on my list of things I want to do! I will just lay down and pray that the cleaning fairy makes a stop on Shadow Wood Drive!

Harlee's First Day of Preschool

Yesterday Harlee started her first day of 4 day a week preschool. She goes to the preschool at Luke's elementary school. She was so excited and I am so so happy to report that the anxiety seems to be gone. It was so quiet with her gone all afternoon and the boys sleeping. When I picked her up she said she had so much fun and loved her teacher. I cannot believe how quickly she is growing up. We just love our little lady!

Labor Day Fun

I just love holidays. It is so nice to have everyone home from school and Joey off work. We labored the first part of the day working on organizing the kids rooms. We told them that if they worked hard then we would go to Planet Play. We went there around 3:30pm and did not get home until almost 7pm. It was so fun. We ate at the pizza buffet and then spent hours playing games. Luke and Joey did Laser Tag and Harlee and I rode the go-carts. We then played lots of arcade games winning tickets for the fabulous prizes that are already forgotten!! It was so nice to spend time together as a family.

Thanks Number Five

Thanks "Number Five" for already letting your presence be known. If there was any mistaking your existence with the gross smells, nausea, tiredness, and lack of desire to do anything, the fact that I am wearing maternity clothes at 7 weeks doesn't lie! Seriously?? Most people even know they are pregnant at this point but I will welcome the comfy clothes! And I must be honest that there is already a baby bump. So embarrassing! So number five we are so excited to meet you and obviously you are ready to let the world know you are on your way!!

Our Little Runt

Gray went yesterday for his fifteen month checkup. It is so hard to believe that he is already that old! He certainly keeps us on our toes getting into everything and climbing as high as he can. He loves his freedom and is very comfortable letting you know if he does not want to do something. Here are his stats:

Weight: 23 lb 10 oz - 45% (so not the Childs usual!)
Height: 32 1/4 in - 75%

Dr. D said that it is quite common for kids to not grow as much from 12 - 18 months and then they have a growth spurt around 2. Gray is not quite walking yet but did take 5 steps at Del Taco yesterday. We know that he could do it but it is all on his time. Very typical Gray! He is so fun and we are just loving having him in our family.
*I LOVE that cute little smile!!!

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
