Utah Siblings Dinner

Cory came to Utah for a work trip this week so we decided to meet up for dinner.  It was all my Utah siblings: Jenna, Don, Bren, Cory, and me.  It was so great to see everyone.  We went to Tacqueria 27 for dinner and then we walked to Harmons for some gelato.  It was so great to be able to catch up.  Cory is going through a rough time right now and it was so nice to see that he is doing ok.  I have been worried about him.  I am so grateful for my siblings!  They are some of my greatest friends!  We missed Jeremy and Tara and cannot wait for a time where we all could be together.

Full Circle Moment

Joey and I were so excited to be able to set up for the big engagement but we wanted to leave so they could have that moment to themselves.  We did not want them to have to clean up their own engagement, so we went down to the riverwoods to grab dinner while we waited.  When we parked by the old Borders I realized this was quite the full circle moment.  This is where we had our first date over 24 years ago and now we were back spending time there while our first born was getting engaged.  So crazy how fast time goes.  There is truly no one else I would want to go through all the moments with than Joey. I'm the luckiest!

She said YES!!

Tonight was a big night for Luke and Morgan.  Luke PROPOSED!!  Such a special night.  They went up to Erika's cabin where we had set up a beautiful spot with flowers, a candlelit path, and pictures of them together.  Luke had asked Morgan's roommate to hide up there and take pictures of the moment.  Luke was so nervous that he dropped the ring but recovered quickly and she said yes!  We are so happy for them.  We love them together and cannot wait for Morgan to be a part of our family.  They are getting married on September 4th!  So excited for them.

Best Brothers

One of the things that Tag really wanted to do over spring break was to go and see the new Super Mario Brothers movie.  All I had to do was mention it to Nash and Gray and they were willing to take him.  I took them to Cinemark to see the movie in the luxury seats.  Tag loved it and it made his spring break.  Thanks Nash and Gray for being amazing brothers!

Spring Break in SG

This year we decided to spend the first part of Spring Break down in our favorite place.  We left on Thursday night, picked up Two Jacks, and made our way through some snowy weather.  We got there around 10pm, caught up with Har for a minute, and then went to bed.  Friday the kids swam a little while Joey and I worked.  We took a break to go to Pork Bellies/The Kitchen Table for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.  We spent the afternoon out by the pool and then Har, Nash, and Gray went to a free concert downtown from the Aquabats.  So fun for them to have sometime together.  Saturday morning we got up early and went for a hike in Leeds.  The weather was great and it was so fun to enjoy the outdoors together.  We rewarded ourselves for the early morning with some Donutville.  We went home and watched conference and swam. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  That night Gray went to hang out with friends and we just relaxed.  Sunday we watched conference and spent some more time outside.  Har and I went on a walk together which was so fun.  We went and visited Tammy for a minute and then John and Darolyne came over for dinner.  We had ham, potatoes, corn, and rolls.  We also had brownies and ice cream for dessert.  It was so fun to visit with them.  The rest of the night we just relaxed and the kids went to play pickleball followed by a night swim.  On Monday we went on a walk, worked a little, went to pizza factory, and then made our way back up north.  Such a fun little break in SG- love that place!
