Harlee's last soccer game

Today was also Harlee's last soccer game. She could not have been on a better team. Her coaches, Jill and Tammy, are amazing and I am so excited that she will bet to play with them again last year. Her coach took time after the game to speak of the strengths of each of the girls on her team. She talked about how Harlee knows the game and is not afraid to get in there. It is so true. Harlee is a very aggressive and skilled soccer player. So proud of you Har! Such a talented girl! *Her cute coach made this soccer ball cake. I love it!

Nash's last soccer game

Today was Nash's last soccer game of the season. He did such a great job. He is quite the aggressive player. He made a goal and then his coach asked him to not try to make anymore goals until all of the other kids had a chance! Too funny. Love that he knows what he wants and goes after it. So proud of you Nash. You've got some skills!

Gray's 4th Birthday Festivities

Gray is 4! Seriously can't believe it! Since we have learned that friend parties do not start until 5, we spent some time at the park as a family. Gray wanted to pick up pizza to eat at the park. He chose to go to the park with the yellow monkey bars! So we headed up to Eagle Summit park, ate dinner and enjoyed some family time. Then when Joey and I were done, all we had to do was ask Gray if he wanted to open presents and he ran to the car! He opened his gifts- a cars book, a cars race track, and a remote control Lightening McQueen. He was so excited. Then we lit up the cake and all enjoyed it. What a fun night with our funny kid. Happy Birthday Graby!

New things...

It is no secret that Tag is a picky eater. He is so reluctant to try new things. Today I was making Gray's birthday cake. I tried and tried to get Tag to try the cake batter. He finally did and loved it. I know it is crazy that we are celebrating Tag eating cake batter but we are so excited that he was willing to try something new. I will take any progress that I can get! So proud of you Tag. He was so cute- he would get some batter on his finger and then say "Mmm". Love this sweet boy!

Last day of school 2014

I cannot believe it is that time again. This has to have been the fastest school year so far! The neighborhood planned to do the annual popsicle sharing. So a lot of moms from the hood met at the corner to hand out popsicles and celebrate the end of the school year. It is so fun to do this and all of the kids get so excited to get a treat once they make it up the hill. Love this neighborhood! Welcome summer!! Wish me luck... *Luke is in the picture with his friend Justin. Gray and Nash are in the picture with Gray's little BFF Colebear. Cole is my friend Marisa's son. Love them both.

Gray is 4!!!

At 7:18pm, four years ago, this funny boy came to our family to bless us with laughter and happiness. What a personality this kid has! I seriously cannot get enough of him. I honestly cannot believe that he is already four. Time sure goes by too quickly. This morning I was doing his hair and told him that he needed to stop growing up. Then I started singing a tune about not growing up. Gray then told me that if I kept singing that song then he would grow up. WOW!! He is always making me laugh. So grateful to be his mom! I will post later tonight the pictures from his little party!

Traverse Mountain Dance Festival

Today was the annual dance festival at the elementary school. I thought through it a little more this year and decided to get a babysitter. It was much more enjoyable without little ones griping about how hot it is! They went in grade order so Harlee's group was the second to perform. They all were required to wear green and they danced to an upbeat version of "Let it Go" from the disney movie Frozen. Harlee did a great job! Luke's 4th grade class did a square dance. Luke had to dance with a girl!! He has great rhythm. They both did such a wonderful job and I was so grateful to be able to sit and enjoy it! So worth the $6 I paid the little babysitter!

Memorial Day Weekend in the SG

We were blessed once again to spend another long weekend in St. George. I LOVE that place! We arrived Thursday before 10pm. Friday Grandma and Grandpa took Gray and Luke birthday shopping and then we all went hiking. For dinner that night we tried Rigatti's pizza and just relaxed. We woke up on Saturday morning and went to some garage sales. Then we spent the afternoon swimming and shopping. We went to Pizza Factory for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. Then we went to see the new house that they are getting. It is in such a nice area and will be perfect for them. By their new place is a great park where the kids spent time playing and doing obstacle courses that Joey would time. Aside from Gray pulling down his pants to pee like he did the day before on our hike, it was perfect! Sunday was one of the most relaxing days we have had in a long time. We just swam and relaxed all day at home. It was so nice. Then Grandma and Grandpa came over for a bbq. We got up and came home on Monday. I feel so blessed to have that home where we can go and make wonderful memories as a family.

Kanarraville Falls

We were lucky to get to spend Memorial Day Weekend in St. George. We left on Thursday night. The weather was surprisingly cool on Friday so we decided to go and try a new hike to Kanarraville Falls. It was such a perfect hike and the weather was beautiful. Joey carried Tag on his back and all of the others walked. They did such a great job. We hiked about a mile in and had wade through a river at two different spots. The scenery was amazing and it was so fun to hike with kids who did not gripe the whole time. As we were on the way back I was towards the back of the pack. In front of me surrounded by all the beautiful scenery were my 6 greatest blessings. So grateful for the opportunity we have to explore southern Utah.

Traverse Mountain 2nd annual 5k

Today was the 2nd annual 5k at the kids elementary school. I was not going to be able to go and do it with them but at the last minute my friend Kristi Jensen offered to come watch the little kids. Harlee was so excited! Since Luke did not want to run with his mom, Harlee got me all to herself. It was really hot but they did a great job. That is quite a long race for kids to do. So proud of the both of them!

Nash is ready for Kindergarten

This morning we had the opportunity to attend Nash's preschool graduation. I seriously cannot believe that he is done with preschool. I told him as we were walking in that I wished I had a magic potion that would keep him from getting bigger. Such a cute big boy! His preschool program was darling. They each had a part and got to speak into a microphone! Nash talked about the centers they did each day and how one time he got to build a rollercoaster. Then they sang songs and counted by 10's. Once the program was over they all went into the hall and got their graduation caps. They came in one by one and got their tassel and diploma. Mrs. Cheri his teacher is amazing. She is so fun with the kids and teaches them many things including manners (which I love!) I am so excited that Gray will have the opportunity to be in her class next year. Congratulations my cute Nashie! You are ready for Kindergarten. *Mrs. Cheri is the one in the red and Miss Miriam is in the yellow- she was the teacher's aide. His friend Brox is the the little guy in the picture with him.

Harlee is the queen

Today Harlee had her first grade play. They did not do a performance for the parents but Luke gets to see it! Harlee had the part of the queen. She was so excited to get to wear her dance costume and the tiara worked perfectly. She asked me to style her hair in a side bun and could not wait to get to wear lipstick to school. Love love love this girly girl of mine! I saw her friend from school today and she was cast to play the cow. I think that Harlee definitely got the better role! Cannot wait to hear how it went. What a beautiful queen!

Gray's preschool graduation

Last night Gray had his preschool graduation. He did such a great job. They sang many songs. One was about the sounds of the alphabet, a rhythm song, and they even sang "In Summer" from Frozen. They also did a dance with partners and Gray did such a wonderful job. I cannot believe how much he has learned over this year. His teacher, Miss Kayley, does such a wonderful job. The last picture shows how much his name writing has improved since September. So proud of you Gray! He cannot wait to go to the big kid school with his siblings next year! *He kept on doing the forced smile so I asked him to act funny. That pointing picture is Gray's definition of funny! Love this kid!

Luke's soccer party

Monday night Luke had his final party with the Slurpees. He has been playing with this team for the last two years. Luke has decided that he wants to focus on basketball and is hanging up his soccer cleats for now. His coach Keith talked about what a great kick Luke has and how he can kick the ball all the way down the field. He also spoke of how Luke plays with heart. And when Luke brings the heart the whole team follows his example. What a great compliment. Luke is such a great example to all those around him. I love that he has the opportunity to influence his teammates for good and that his influence is recognized. So proud of you Luke! You had an amazing season! Your team will really miss you.

Dance Recital 2014

Today marks the last dance recital for me at the Dance Depot. After 10 years of teaching I am turning in my tap shoes for a new adventure of going back to school for nursing. I am sad to be done but I will live out my dance dream through Harlee! This year I taught a tap class. Our first dance was to "Cups" and then the second was to "Sing Sing Sing". My girls did a great job.

Harlee's Dance Recital 2014

Yesterday was Harlee's big dance recital. She did AMAZING!! I was so proud of her. Her teacher this year was Beckie. Her first dance was a ballet to "I Feel Pretty". They danced with mirrors and she looked beautiful! Her second dance was a tap to "The Lonely Goater". The wore the cutest costumes and Harlee did every step perfectly. I am so excited that my favorite girl also shares my love for dance! Dreams are coming true as I watch her perform! What a blessing.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
