Gray's 5th Super Mario Brothers Party

At 2pm the festivities began. Gray was so excited to have all of his friends come over and celebrate. Everyone that was invited made it to the party except one little friend James Kenyon. We had a full house! We started the party by playing pin the mustache on Mario. The second game we played was to stomp on the bombs like you would in the Super Mario game. Inside the balloons was a candy. The kids had so much fun playing. The last game that we played was to throw the fireballs into the green pipes. If they were successful they received a gold coin. It was so fun to watch these cute kids have a great time. After games we opened presents and had Super Mario Brothers cake. After the cake we finished the party with a Mario pinata. Such a great party. Gray has such nice friends that really spoiled him. So grateful to be in this neighborhood where Gray can grow up with all of these amazing kiddos! Happy Birthday Graby!

Gray is 5

Our little Gray is 5! Cannot believe it. Where did the time go? He just finished preschool and will start kindergarten in the fall. He loves Mario and to play video games. He is very independent and will go to bed by himself every night. He does how ever, end up in our bed a few nights a week. Gray has a lot of great friends but especially loves to hang out his friends Tyce and Jensen. We are so grateful to have Gray in our family. He is so funny and brings so much joy into our home!

Gray's last soccer game

On Saturday Gray also had his last soccer game on the "Turquiose Sharks". He has become quite the aggressive little player. So proud of him and how hard he worked this season. He scored many goals and even scored one on his last game. He is the only one signed up for soccer next year and we look forward to watching this little guy play!

Nash's last soccer game

Yesterday Nash had his last soccer game with the Green Zombies. Their team was really good and was undefeated this season! Nash's coach Derek was so great with them and Nash really became a little soccer star. So proud of this little guy. And no rest for him, he has his first swim meet on Thursday! Such a great season!

The older brother comes through

Yesterday Gray turned 5! It was his first party year and we invited all of his friends over for a Super Mario Brothers Party. I was trying to think of fun games to play and I thought of pin the mustache on Mario. I looked online and found some pictures of Mario but could not print one as big as I wanted. So I asked Luke if he would draw one for me. He said he would try so I went to Walmart and bought some poster board and colored pencils. He did an amazing job. He is such a great artist. He sent me a text with a picture of the outcome while I was at Nash's soccer game. I was beyond impressed. I sent him the following text: "Luke that is awesome! You are such a great artist! I knew you could do it better than any I could print." He responded:"No problem and thanks for the compliment! You are the best mom!" What a great kid. Thanks Luke for being such a great helper to me and making Gray's party so much fun.

Last Day of School

I know that I probably say this every year but this school year went by so fast! I cannot believe that we are already congregating on the corner, handing out Popsicles to a bunch of kids, excited for summer. Such a fun tradition. So proud of these kids. They all got either all 4's or straight A's. They are all so ready for a break from homework. Bring on the summer!!

Another one gone!

After the dance festival we ran to Hobby Lobby. As I was getting my purse Nash tapped me on the shoulder and handed me something. It was his tooth! Cannot believe he is old enough to be losing teeth. And speaking of losing, that is what we did. Somewhere in my big purse is that little tooth and we cannot find it. Nash was so sad but I told him to write the tooth fairy a note and she will still come! I was right! She came and left $2 under his pillow. Love his toothless grin! Such a cute boy!

Tag's 3 year check-up (finally)

We finally got Tag in for his 3 year old doctor appt. He was so good. He walked right up to the scale and got one! Cannot believe how big he is getting. Here are the stats: Weight: 37 lbs. He is in the 90% and has gained 7 lbs since his 2 yr old appt. Not bad for a kid who struggles with eating! He is 39 3/4 inches tall which is in the 90% also. Such a big boy. We discussed his diagnosis and the dr said that he feels in 2 years you would never had know that he was autistic. Gives us such hope. He reminded me of the slow progress that should be expected with his eating and that he is not concerned due to his healthy weight gain. So grateful for our little caboose. Sure don't know what we would do without you Tag! *He was less than excited to have his picture taken. He kept saying "No say cheese!" He will laugh at this picture someday!

Dance Festival

This year the dance festival almost did not happen. It has been raining for days and so they taped the kids doing there dances. The plan was to watch the dances on video but at the last minute the weather turned so they all performed outside. Grandma and Grandpa went for me since I was at the doctor for Tag's well check. The appointment got done just in time for me to make it to the school and watch Harlee, Luke, and Nash perform. It was perfect! Harlee performed "Shake it Off". I walked up as they started and just happened to stand in the perfect spot to watch her. She did an amazing job! Then Luke's class performed to "Footloose". Luke did awesome. That boy has rhythm! Then Nash's class performed the chicken dance. I had dressed him in a shirt with black sleeves so he was easier to spot. He did a great job. Those three were not the only ones to perform, Tag was having the best time. He would stand up and dance to the fun music. I was loving it! This was the first year that all the kids sat and watched and I really enjoyed the dance festival!

Updating the SG House

The updates continue in St George. We painted the cabinets in the kid's bathroom white. We also painted the master bathroom a light blue. I LOVE it! We added a new shower curtain and I think it looks so great. We added a nice big rug to the master bedroom. It is so nice and soft that the kids wanted to sleep on it at night! We also started the kitchen updates by painting the island the same light blue as the bathroom. We are going to paint all of the cabinets white and the walls a light gray. Just when I thought I could not love the place any more. It just keeps getting better. Thanks so much Joey for working so hard to update my heaven on earth!

Memorial Day in SG

We had the best time in St George for the long Memorial Day weekend. I have to say that I am sad that we are back home in Lehi. We spent our days swimming, went to di, played bingo, went to a few garage sales, went to Pizza Factory, went to the rock climbing park, the park by our old townhouse, and enjoyed some relaxation. In true Childs fashion, someone got the stomach flu. Why does that happen? Poor Luke was the only victim and I felt so bad. He felt the worst at night so thankfully he could still swim and enjoy the In and Out he was begging for. I so so so love our home away from home. I feel so blessed to get to enjoy time together and make so many great memories.
