Our baby is 13

Happy Birthday Tig!  I cannot believe that my baby is 13.  It is truly such a blessing to be Tag's mom.  He is everything that is good.  He reminds me of what really matters.  We celebrated Tag by getting him a new phone and a couple of shirts.  His phone had the green line of death so he was so excited to no longer have to worry about his phone turning off forever.  Tag requested that we have cake with green frosting.  I love that cake is on his very short list of foods that he likes.  Hope you have the best birthday Tag!  You are so loved by all of us and you are the perfect caboose to our family.

Tag's early birthday celebration

We were so excited to go celebrate Tag today by going to one of our favorite places- Soldier Hollow to go tubing.  I was so excited to have the whole family there this year.  It was pretty much perfect minus the sleet rain and it was a little crowded.  Even the crummy  weather couldn't dampen our spirits.  It was so much fun.  After tubing, we went to Dairy Keen and had an early dinner.  I am so grateful for Tag and that he loves to celebrate his birthday surrounded by his family.  Such a blessing!  Hope he had the best time.

Early morning temple trip

Today Gray woke up at 4am to go to the temple with the teachers.  They went to the Mt Timpanogas temple to do baptisms and then finished the activity with breakfast at McDonalds.  Gray is the moral compass in our family.  He is always pushing us to get to the temple which is amazing.  I really appreciate his example.

Ike

We sure love our puppy!  He is so funny and we swear he is part human.  He makes us laugh all the time with the things he does.  Here are a few pictures from the last week.  Love him!

He's Employed!

The job market is ROUGH right now.  Luke applied for so many jobs and was only given 2 interviews.  He was getting discouraged when he found out that Viewpoint Middle School, where he worked before his mission was hiring.  We even found out that his old boss had told the secretary in the office that he wished he could get Luke back.  Good sign for sure!  He applied and interviewed on Friday.  He was on his way home when he got a call letting him know he got the job.  It is a contract position with full time hours.  He will make $19 an hour.  So amazing!  It will be a little tricky to figure out how to make school work but he is so grateful for the ability to make money.  I am so excited for him and just love seeing Heavenly Father's hand in Luke's life.  None of the other jobs worked out because he is meant to be at Viewpoint.  Today is his first day and I hope it is amazing!

Day O Luck

Another sign that all the kiddos are growing up too fast- Lucky is gone!  Today is St. Patrick's Day and we started a new tradition.  The green candy doesn't get eaten so I decided to give the kids something green that they would really appreciate.  Each of them were lucky and received $10 to celebrate the day.  But truthfully, I am the lucky one.  I am so blessed to be their mom.  They are all such amazing kids and true examples to me.

Date night with Luke and Har

Tonight we took Luke and Har on their date for 2025.  We decided to take them to see Evan Honer.  We love his music but it was definitely a sacrifice for Joey and I as it was a standing concert.  Rough for us old folk!  But we were super excited.  We went to Cafe Rio before making our way to Soundwell in downtown Salt Lake.  The concert was so good!  Joey and I opted to stand by a rail that we could lean on.  Luke and Har moved a bit to the middle.  I loved watching them have fun together.  Winning parent moment for sure!  Evan put on such a good show including some back flips!  He sang Linger and we all, including Joey, belted it out with him.  Such a fun night with some of our favs. I love that our kids share our LOVE for concerts.

Utah Tech for the Win

After the Blazer Blast and a TON of thinking, Harlee has made a decision to go to Utah Tech in the fall.  Thankfully Miah is planning to go also so that she will not be going down by herself.  I am so excited for her to have all of the college experiences.  She is going to learn and grow so much.  They will be living at our house which makes me feel a little better knowing they will be safe and watched over by Tammy.  I will miss her so much but I am so excited for all the things to come for her.

Weekend Fun

The kids have a long weekend since it is the end of the term.  Tag reminded us that since they had some time off of school, we needed to do something fun.  Luke took that to heart and went to SG with his high school buddies.  Hopefully there will be a picture or two I can post!  We decided to take the kids to TopGolf and out to lunch today.  We had so much fun!  The kids did great at golf and Tag tried a donut with bavarian cream!  Way to go Tig!  After the fun we wrapped up the tradition by going to Goodwood- definitely our family favorite! It was so fun to chat while we enjoyed delicious food.  I love spending time with my family.  Such a great day!

Blazer Blast

Harlee has been having a difficult time making a decision as to where she wants to go for college.  I think she has narrowed it down either Utah Tech or UVU.  This weekend her and Miah drove down to St. George to attend the Blazer Blast.  This was a night sponsored by the Ambassadors where potential students come and stay a night on campus.  They played games, toured the campus, and then on Saturday they got to attend a class in the field that they hope to study.  Harlee wants to do special ed.  They had a really good time and even made the Utah Tech Instagram page! They ended up staying an extra night at our house and testing out what life might look like for them.  If they choose to go down to Utah Tech together, then they will live in the basement at our house.  If Har goes down by herself, I want her to live on campus and get to know potential roommates for next year.  We will see!  They had the best time down there and I know they loved the freedom.  Hopefully Har is feeling a little closer to making a decision.  So proud of her!
