Basketball game surprise

Harlee and Miah were able to get the night off, thanks to their manager at Janela Bay, so they made plans to go to the basketball game.  They were excited to surprise Dario and Noah- their friends and favorite players.  They made a super cute poster and they signed it for them after the game.  I love that they are having such fun college experiences.

"Where is my mind?"

Nash is in AP art and works all year towards a portfolio that he submits for credit in the class.  His theme for his portfolio is music.  This most recent piece was bases on the song "Where is my mind?" by the Pixies.  Nash is so talented and love to see the process of an idea coming together.  Amazing job Nashie!

Will you go to Sweethearts?

Both Nash and Gray were asked to go to Sweethearts which is on Valentines Day.  Nash was asked by Kesley and Gray was asked by Annie.  So fun!  I think that they are both excited to go.  Now they need to find clever ways to respond.  So excited for them to have a great time!

24 Amazing years

Happy Anniversary to Joey and I!  It is crazy to think that it was 24 years ago that we were sealed in the Mt Timpanogas temple on a snowy day.  When I think back to the day it is crazy to think that I could not love Joey more.  I loved him so much on that beautiful day but that love has grown immeasurably as we have gone through so much together.  Joey truly is my best friend and the only person that I want to go through this life and eternity with.

Ordination Day

Today was a special day for sure!  Tag was ordained to be a teacher and Gray was ordained to be a priest.  They decided to ordain Gray first and then he was able to participate in ordaining Tag.  Nash was able to participate in both of the ordinations.  Both of them were given beautiful blessings.  I am so grateful to have the priesthood in our home and for the examples that these boys are in my life.

Harlee is 19

We were so lucky that Har's Christmas break was super long.  This meant that Har would be home to celebrate her birthday.  She actually leaves tomorrow to head home.  We made appointments to get our annual facials which was amazing.  This might be one of my favorite traditions.  After over an hour of relaxation, we went to Olive Garden for lunch.  It was so fun to spend time with her.  We got Cafe Rio for dinner and then opened a few presents.  She got some new clothes but she was most excited about her big gift.  Har and I are going to go see Evan Honer and Tyler Childers in Buffalo New York this summer.  It is just as much a present for me as it is for her.  I cannot wait!  Happy Birthday Har!  I hope you have the best year ever.

Chesnee's Blessing

Today we drove to Plain City to attend Chesnee's baby blessing.  It was so special to watch Brody give a beautiful blessing from Heavenly Father to their new baby.  Joey brought a pocket full of candy and Yost was his best friend.  Cannot wait to see Joey as a grandpa!  After the blessing we went over to Brendee and Brody's home for lunch.  It was great to visit with family.  Such a special day.

Tallest Childs

It is official- Nash is the tallest Childs.  He has hit 6'6 and has passed up Brody.  Brody is not too happy about it but Nash sure is. It is hard to tell from this picture but it was very obvious when they stood back to back.  What a special day!

New Year's Eve

We had a great night ringing in the New Year- especially because all of the kids were home.  For our taste test, we opted to do donuts.  We had Tis My Sugar, Branberry, Krispy Kreme, and Lehi Bakery.  The winner was Tis My Sugar donuts.  We don't love the name but we for sure love the donuts.  We then had the Pie for dinner and worked on a puzzle.  Luke went with his mission friends Galindo and Egan to a rave and Har ended up going to Miah's.  We all made it to midnight and it was a pretty perfect night.

Christmas Day

Today was a perfect day!  The kids got up at 6am and they were so grateful for all of their presents from Santa.  Tag's favorite gift was his Steam Deck.  Gray's favorite gift was his electric guitar.  Nash's favorite gift was his keyboard.  Har's favorite gift was her vinyl's and perfume.  Luke's favorite gift was his new phone.  We got a really fun game that we played a lot through out the day.  Grandma and Grandpa came and visited with KC and Mike.  We made pizza for dinner and just spent the day in our sweats.  We cleaned up all of the Christmas decorations.  It was a pretty amazing day.  All of my kids are home with me and I could not ask for more.

Christmas Eve Traditions

This Christmas Eve was a little different because both Joey and I had to work.  We were both done by noon so that the fun could begin.  We started with the sibling gift exchange.  It was so fun to see what everyone had gotten for their chosen name.   After the gift exchange, we went to JCWs and Costa Vida for the annual Christmas Eve lunch.  It was so fun to sit and visit with each other- I just love the excitement that the holidays bring.  We went home and relaxed for a bit before opening all of the clothes gifts.  It is much more enjoyable now that the kids are older and really appreciate this part of Christmas.  After the presents, we made cast iron pizzas for dinner and watched Elf.  This year we watched it in the basement so that everyone had a comfy seat.  Such a perfect day!  I am so grateful for my family and cherish any time that we are all together.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
