Our New Pet

I guess when your backyard is the mountain you should expect the unexpected. We have had a snake this season and many squirrels. Yesterday this little friend was hanging out on our back steps. The kids wanted to go out and see it but as soon as the door was opened, he was gone. So cute and I will take a squirrel over a snake anyday!

Scout Day Camp

Today started bright and early! Luke had to be at Sister Butcher's house at 6:45am for his first scout day camp. He was so excited and it did not disappoint. They sure crammed a lot into the 6 hours he was gone. Archery, shooting bb guns, paddling boats, lunch, making tepees, a scavenger hunt and so much more. He had a blast. He said that he favorite thing was the archery. They had to shoot at bails of hay and bags of stuff according to Luke! He was able to hit the bail hay and got ten points! It is so fun to listen to all the experiences he is getting to have through scouts. Our baby is growing up! So crazy to think that he is eight years old. Sure love this boy!

Why can't I ever get anything done?

Another crazy day. I feel like I have not sat down all morning. Finally I got the kiddos lunch right before 1pm. I took Tag up to get him down for his nap. Once he was asleep, I laid down with Gray to get him to sleep. Success so I thought. As soon as Gray was asleep I went into check on Tag to find him wide awake. Seriously? How will I ever get the house organized and cleaned for our big baptism/blessing day on Saturday? Good thing Tag went back down quickly by doing the Tag trick! He is so predictable when you swaddle him tight and give him a binkie. Then you hold him snug against you while patting his bottom. He loves this and when he is tired, it just takes a few minutes before he is down for the count. Thank goodness. Now I get to work on a few things. Love these kiddos but most days I wish I had a maid!!
*I had to post this second picture for Luke. We always joke that when he was a baby he often made a "platypus" face. Tag does the same! Too cute!

Goggles

Every time we go to the pool our kiddos covet those who are lucky enough to have goggles. Not sure why they want them so bad. Truthfully I think it would bug me to have those on while I swim. So Saturday we went to the sales and hit the goggle jackpot! Now each of the four oldest kiddos has their own pair of goggles. Don't worry, in true Childs' fashion, one pair was broken within a minute! Thankfully we figured out how to fix it and everyone was happy once again! *Luke got some goggles too. Apparently when you are eight you are too cool to wear the goggles anywhere but the pool!

Tag is 3 months

Time is sure flying... I want to just freeze time and enjoy every minute of this last go round! Tag is honestly a dream baby. We just love him. He is almost always happy. He loves to smile and try to talk with us. He loves to be held and loves attention. I was telling Joey the other day how crazy it is to think that we were done with four children. Heavenly Father pushed us into the decision to have one more and now we are enjoying one of our greatest blessings. We LOVE this little Tag and could not imagine our family without him.

Our Funny Boy

He marches to the beat of his own drum and keeps us laughing all along the way. Gray is just a funny kid. I am loving his cute personality that is coming out. He is talking so much more and often says things like: "Oh cute" or "Funny". He is obsessed with cars and Cars 2 the movie. He always is carrying as many cars that will fit in his hands. He has 3 shirts that he will wear- two Cars 2 shirts and one Toy Story. Lately he loves to wear Toy Story snow boots. He just recently found the second one so for the longest time he was only sporting one boot! Just try to tell this boy what to do- good luck! We just love him and are so grateful for the laughter he brings to our family.

Long Day

Nash is at the toughest age when it comes to naps. He refuses to take one but if we go on a drive or he has a down moment, he is out. This day he was coloring at the table. He fell asleep and looked so cute. I wanted a picture of him at the table but he quickly fell to the floor and went right back to sleep. I so wish I had the biliary to fall asleep wherever whenever. Our cute sleepy guy!

Our second trip to our new home

We were so excited about the new place after leaving last time and decided to plan an even longer trip this time. We left on Thursday right after Joey got home and did not come home until Monday. It was such a fun few days. We worked hard hanging more wall decor and painting but we made sure to have tons of fun. We went swimming everyday and went to many parks. My favorite times were Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday night we loaded up two strollers and walked to the fun park by our house. Then Sunday night we once again loaded two strollers and walked across the street to the highschool. Joey played soccer with the boys and Harlee, Tag, and I walked around the track. The sprinklers were on and the kids had a blast running through them. What a great night. I just love family time and feel so blessed to have such a wonderful one. It is crazy having so many little ones but I would not change a thing. I am so lucky.

Father's Day

We were lucky to get to spend Father's Day in St.George this year. We had such a fun day. In the morning we gave Joey his gifts. It was definitely a Joey present- a card, work out shorts, an Itunes gift card, money, and candy! Joey then took the kids to the splash park where they had such a good time. When he came home he suggested we go out for lunch. I know that it was Sunday but we were on vacation- way to justify huh? So we went to Chili's and the kids were really good. We had a great lunch including molten lava cake with icecream! Then we went back for naps and pool time. I made spaghetti and bread for dinner at Joey's request. Then we walked to the high school for some fun family time. What a great day! I am so grateful for the father that Joey is to our children. He really loves them and I know that they all KNOW that. He is such a fun Dad and a great example to them. I just really love that man! I am grateful for my own Dad and for Joey's Dad and love them both very much. Happy Father's Day!

Tag's 2 Month appointment

Better late than never. The doctor was so booked that he was actually a week shy of 3 months for this appointment. He is doing pretty good. Here are his stats: Weight: 12 lb 3 oz which is 50% Height: 23 1/2 in which is also 50% He is our little runt. I guess that is what happens when you come a month early! Dr.stampfl is a little concerned about his breathing because he rattles so much especially after he eats. So I took him to see Dr. Kelley. He scoped him and verified that he does have a mild case of laryngo malacia. This is where he has extra tissue around his voice box. He also has some floppy tissue on the flaps by his esophagos. This causes him to pool secretions. Dr. Kelley thinks he will out grow it but put him on Prevacid to help with reflux. I hope this helps. We are so lucky to have this little guy in our family. He is so smily and loves to "talk" to us. We just love you Tag and are so grateful for the love you bring into our home. *Love this picture. Our sweet little guy even smiles in his sleep!

New Project

Before After A couple weeks ago an old friend posted on facebook a chair she had redone. She bought an ugly chair on Craigslist and made it like new. Since we love to garage sale I have been on the look out for something with good bones that I could recreate. On Saturday I bought these little stools. I thought they would be perfect for Harlee's room. They were $10 each and they are really heavy. I bought some turquoise paint and some new fabric that was on sale. For less than $30 I have some new stools that will look great in Harlee's room. Hopefully they will motivate me to do Harlee's room so that they will match in there! They are so far from perfect but hopefully I will get better with each project. So fun to see the change.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
