Freakishly Flexible

We have always been amazed at the flexibility of our little Gray. He is often bending and twisting in ways that seem impossible- especially for a boy! Last night he was impressing us with all of his moves. These are some pictures of a few! Nash got in on it too- seriously who can use their foot as a phone?? Such funny kids.

How messy is icecream?

We for sure celebrate the fact that Tag now loves icecream and that he is mastering the art of using a spoon. But who would have thought that this mess would come out of a little icecream in a bowl? It is crazy! He was having the time of his life which almost made it worth the time it took to clean up the disaster! I seriously cannot get enough of this little guy. He really can do no wrong!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to the best man I know! What a perfect day to focus on all that Joey does for our family. He leads by example, he loves us all deeply, he works so hard for our family, and he is my greatest blessing! We hope you always know how special you are to us. We love you so much! *One of these days I will be able to get a picture with everyone looking and smiling at the camera- today was not one of those days! *This ring is one of Joey's gifts. I snapped this picture while he was enjoying his Father's Day nap! He is officially taken and I could not be luckier!

Summer in Snowbird

Uncle KC got a job this summer working the kids camps up at Snowbird. Friday night they did an employee appreciation night and KC invited us up. The kids were so excited and we had the best time. We got to ride the mountaincoaster. Apparently it is usually $18 to ride per person. That would have cost us $90 since Joey stayed with Tag. So grateful we were able to enjoy it. Gray rode on my lap, Nash rode with KC, and Harlee rode with Brenna. Luke was tall enough to go on his own. It was such a fun ride and I must admit that Gray and I screamed like little kids! After that ride, Joey took Tag and Gray to the bounce house and we made our way to the Alpine Slide. We had to ride the lift to the top and then we slid down. Nash rode with me but everyone else was on their own. I guess this ride is usually $12! I cannot believe it. We are so grateful for KC's invite so that we could enjoy some family time! So fun to spend time with KC and Brenna too! What a fun night!

Luke's long-awaited birthday party

Yesterday was Luke's 10th birthday party at Classic Skate. We had to reschedule from last week when the poor guy was suffering from strep throat. We had his party at Classic Fun Center in Sandy. The kids got to skate (they all brought their scooters), play laser tag, go in bounce houses, play arcade games, go in the blast zone, eat pizza and cake. They had so much fun. I worried they might get bored with the 3 hours there but they could have stayed much longer. They all played so well together and all left sweaty and happy! Harlee and Luke made a pact a while ago that they could each invite a friend to the other's party. So Harlee had Aubrey come. They had so much fun as well. Luke got so many nice presents and has such well behaved friends. The boys that attended were Tyson Hyde, Tyson his cousin, Justin Blackham, Kelton Gardner, Jackson Reichert, Logan Taggart, and Jace Pursel. What a fun day for Luke- so worth the $175 bill!!

Gray's First Talk

Yesterday Gray gave his first talk in Primary. His talk was on "Priesthood ordinances and the temple bless my family". He got up to give the talk and spoke into the microphone a little too loudly. The kids started to laugh and Gray retreated saying "That is too loud". I worried for a minute that he would not finish the talk but he went on like a champ. He gave the rest of the talk and I was so proud of him. I seriously cannot believe he is four! Time needs to slow down... *Gray is in the tortuous smile phase. You ask him to smile and he looks a little like he is in pain! I had to post the second picture because I actually captured his beautiful, natural smile. Love this boy!

Basketball Season comes to an end

Luke's basketball season has come to end. He had such a good time and loves this sport! His coach was Kevin Pursel. He is such a fair and encouraging coach. Luke has learned so much from him. We just signed him up for one more season with Kevin and he starts next week!

Bathroom Remodel

Now that the basement is complete, we are starting to do some of the upstairs rooms. We decided to take on the half bathroom since it is the most used in our house! We painted the walls light blue and did the decor in gray and mustard yellow. I LOVE the way it turned out! Thanks so much to Joey for painting! He is so great. He had that room painted in a few hours! *We also updated the couch and the pillows in the front room. Love the change!!

Summer Movie Day

Since we were still recovering from sickness we decided to have a movie day on Friday. As soon as I put Tag down for a nap, Nash/Gray watched Rise of the Guardians in one room and Luke/Harlee watched Watcher in the Woods in another. I made popcorn and they had so much fun relaxing and watching the movie. As soon as Tag woke up we decided to go get a shaved ice. We drove to Highland to try what was said to be the best shaved ice in Utah. It was so good and I was able to buy 6 of them for $9! We all sat outside and enjoyed our treats. In that moment I finally felt like I have this! I can handle taking five kids out in public and actually enjoy myself. They are growing up and I so look forward to more times like this! So grateful for these moments that make all the craziness of having five kids in seven years worth it! I am a lucky lady!

Double Digits

Luke is 10!! I seriously cannot believe my baby is that old! Luke is such a great kid and example to his younger siblings. His day started with hanging out with his friends for a few hours, then his cousins came and brought him a little gift, then he had his last basketball practice and pizza party. After practice, Mimi and Brennan came over and brought him a really cool soccer ball for his gift. When they left we opened presents and had cake! Luke got a couple pairs of elite socks, two nike shirts, a pair of osiris shoes, some DC shoes, and a new skateboard. Kind of a spoiled kid! We were suppose to have a party the next day but Luke woke up at 2am feeling sick. Turns out that he has strep. Poor guy. It broke my heart to see him so sad that he could not have his party. We have rescheduled for Tuesday and I know he will have so much more fun when he feels good. Happy Birthday Luke! I am so lucky to be your mom! *Luke is such a good looking young man. I hate to admit it but I am really liking his choice to grow out his hair!!

Usin' Utensils!!

With Tag being our picky little eater I rarely have him use utensils. He can eat gogurts and his hot dogs with his hands. I decided that I need to be pushing him to do these things and he picked it up like a champ!! He now loves to eat yogurt every day with his spoon and his hot dogs with a fork. I am so proud for all the growth that I see in this little guy. He is so smart and such a blessing to have in our family.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
