At the beginning of the year we set a few goals as a family. We decided to run the distance to California and back as a family and to read the Book of Mormon. Who would have thought it would have been easier to run over 1600 miles than to read a 500 page book? This seems to be the case in our home! We ran to Cali and back by the end of May and then continued running. Today we can say that we finished reading the Book of Mormon. This is the second time that we have read it together as a family. Such a blessing! We have been reading before school and I love the amazing words they listen to before they go out into the world. It feels like it is their armor! So now that we finished the goals successfully, we leave on Friday for Disneyland! We are driving to SG on Friday and we will stay there on Saturday. We will drive to Cali on Sunday morning. Then Monday and Tuesday will be spent at Disneyland and California Adventure. Then Wednesday we will have a beach day and stay the night at Jeremy's. We will return to SG on Thursday and spend Joey's birthday weekend there. Cannot wait. So proud of these kids for accomplishing what they set out to do. They have earned this vacation!
