Growin up
Luke has been working for me this summer. He is in charge of mowing and edging the lawn each week. Also, every other week he has been cleaning the house. I pay him $10 an hour. He does a great job and has saved up over $200. We went to the bank today and opened his fist checking account complete with a debit card! I am excited for him to learn how to manage his money and make wise spending choices.

Movie Day
Today I took the boys to see the new Spiderman movie. It is so fun that they have each other. I love that Luke is old enough and responsible enough to take his younger brothers. They loved the movie and the time together.

You've got to be kidding me!
Today I was on a work phone call when my cell phone kept ringing. The boys were over at Kai's house and it was Kai calling. I was certain they were going to ask to do a sleepover so I just continued on my work call. After three calls I thought that maybe it was more than the sleepover question. I called back and it was Kai's dad. He said that Nash had cut his head open and he felt that he may need stitches. All I could think about was that he just had a concussion and now he has hurt his head again. I left immediately and met them at Timpanogas Hospital. The cut was pretty deep and we decided to have him seen. Four staples and no tears later he was on the road to recovery. They were super quick at the hospital and we were in and out in 45 minutes. Nash was so brave and even went back to his Kai's house after the hospital. I am pretty sure Nash has met his quota of hospital visits for the year. So glad he is ok.

Unexpected Morning Adventure
Yesterday when the kids were jumping at Lowes, Nash did a back flip and landed funny on his head and neck. He looked a little pale but was able to eat lunch and play normally the rest of the afternoon. This morning when he woke up he was throwing up a lot. He threw up four times in about an hour so I called his doctor. They highly recommended that I take Nash up to Primary Children's hospital. About 5 hours and a CT scan later they told me he had a concussion. Thankfully the CT scan was normal which meant no brain bleeding or swelling. We were so relieved. I am so grateful for insurance! And I am so grateful that Nash is ok. After the $550 bill since we hadn't met our deductible, Joey suggested that the boys find a new hobby!

Pioneer Day at Lowe's
So I figured that one of the ways to be a fun mom and a good loan officer is to take the kids to Lowe's. The kids all jump and have a great time while I work using their free wi-fi. It is a win-win. All of the boys had a blast. Harlee was a good sport and kept an eye on Tag for me. Minus Nash getting hurt as he landed funny out of a flip, a good time was had by all. After 90 minutes of jumping, I loaded the stinky kids in the car and we went to grab lunch at Chick Fila on the way home. It was such a fun morning and the kids were wiped out when we got home. So grateful that I can work from anywhere so the kids can have a little fun this summer.

Friday Fun Day
My work has been so crazy but I really wanted the kids to get out of the house and doing something fun. I shut the phone off for a few hours and we went to spend some time at Mindi's pool. At first Luke did not want to go but I talked him into it. Nash and Gray's friend Kai came with us also. They all had so much fun together. Luke and Nash played frisbee and they all swam. After a couple of hours we left and stopped at McDonalds on the way home for some ice cream cones. What a fun day! I love being out in the sun and spending some time with five out of my six blessings. Such a nice afternoon!

Scout Camp
Today it was Nash's turn to go to scout camp. He woke up bright and early and was ready to go spend some time doing scout things. They went to camp Jeremiah Johnson. He spent the day shooting, carving, and doing rockets. They got to eat a sack lunch there and then he brought some money to spend in the store. In true Nash fashion he came home with a treat for each of his siblings. He is seriously so kind. He is always thinking of others. He is going to be the best husband some day!

Our Chipmunk
Since we had been so diligent in the icing and heating I thought that Luke might avoid the swelling after getting his wisdom teeth out. Not so, Luke looks a little swollen. He has been in such good spirits today and is handling everything like a champ. Today is the last day of the heating and ice so hopefully he will continue to improve. I know that I will not miss the oven timer going off every twenty minutees.
Denzil's party
When Tag came home on the last day of school he told me that his friend Denzil was going to invite him to his birthday party in July. Every few days he would remind me of the upcoming invitation. He thought that his party would be right after the 4th of July. When the invite did not come the week of the 4th I started to worry and pray that Tag would forget. Then the invite came! Denzil's mom called me on Thursday to see if Tag would want to go to the party. I was so excited and Tag was thrilled. We went on Friday to pick out a present for him- super hero legos and some gummy candy. The party was at the blue park by our house. Tag had so much fun at the party and reuniting with his little friend. I am so grateful for these experiences that Tag gets to enjoy.

WisdomTeeth No Longer
I was so shocked when the orthodontist suggested that Luke get his wisdom teeth out as soon as possible a few months ago. I thought that this was something that he would do right before his mission. The orthodontist explained that if his wisdom teeth grow in too much it could screw up his bite. So we decided the summer would be the best time to get this done. We went to a dentist at Alpine Surgical Arts. Luke did great but disappointed me a little on the way home with his lack of funny discussion while he was still effected by the anestetia. The next few hours were super rough. We stayed up on the icing every 20 minutes. Thankfully by around 6pm Luke took a turn for the better. He was still not feeling awesome but was doing a lot better than before. I am so grateful for insurance and so thankful that he could get his wisdome teeth removed. In a few weeks, all of this will be a memory.

Goodbyes are so hard...
Today Harlee and I went over to Jeremy's house to help them clean and to say goodbye. They had most of the house cleared out so we just helped clean the fridge and then wipe down walls. I liked the distraction of cleaning since I knew that the enivitable was coming. I said goodbye to Steph and Harlee said goodbye to Aubrey. Then we made our way out to the moving van. The tears started as soon as I saw Jeremy. He is such an example to me and I cherish our friendship. I am really going to miss him. Virginia is so lucky to be getting this wonderful family.
