Sluffin Cousins

With Audrey moving soon to Virginia, I am so going to miss them, we decided to let them skip school and hang out.  We went and go Audrey at 8:15am.  They came back to our house and made a cake.  It kind of got destroyed so they decided to make cake balls.  After the cake making was finished I took them to the outlets and dropped them off for a little shopping.  Of course neither of them bought anything since they both would rather save than spend.  I picked them up and took them to Cafe Rio for some lunch.  I love watching them interact!  They have such similar personalities and get along so well together.  So fun to have a cousin that is also one of your greatest friends.  I am so thankful that they get to make these memories together before they move.  Jeremy and I said that we need to have Audrey come here and they can go to EFY together in a couple years.  That would be the funnest!  Love these cute girls.

2041

Today Tag came up to me and said "Mom I am going to get married in 2041."  Huh?  Where would he get that from?  I wonder if that was a little whisper from Heavenly Father?  I do worry a little about Tag's future so to hear that information made me smile.  No more worries! Our baby will be getting married when he is 29!  Perfect!

Something I will treasure...

After Harlee and Audrey went to the temple and breakfast we planned to let them hang out for the day.  Audrey had a dress rehearsal for dance at BYU and then Harlee and Audrey hung out my old stomping grounds for a bit.  They went to the Cougareat for some fries and shakes before perusing around the BYU bookstore.  When we picked Harlee up she said she did not buy anything for herself but she did buy something for Joey and something for me.  She gave Joey a big bag of sour balls which happen to be his favorite.  She then told me what she got me was not candy but that I would love it.  She handed me a beautiful necklace with a card that said" Mom, You are my first friend, my best friend, my forever friend."  I was so touched that she would give that to me.  I pray that I can do everything right and that she will always want to be my forever friend.  I am so grateful that I was given such an amazing daughter that teaches me daily by her perfect example.  Thanks Har for making my day!

Temple Trip with Mimi

This morning Mimi took Harlee and Audrey to the Provo Temple to do baptisms.  Brennan went with them and was able to perform the baptisms.  They were baptized for some cousins on my mom's side.  What a special experience!  After the temple they went to Corner Bakery for some breakfast where GP joined them and taught them about the Dare Game.  It is so fun that Harlee has a girl cousin that is so close to her in age.  They are so similar and have the best time together.  So grateful that they get to have these times together with their grandma.

"Fort" Night

We had moved all of the furniture out of the great room on Thursday night because we were getting the ceilings painted today.  The boys found a little fort in the furniture and wanted to sleep there tonight.  Well the ceiling was done right after dinner and Joey and I could not wait to put the room back together.  As soon as all the furniture was back in place Joey built the boys a fort under the kitchen table where they could sleep.  They got tons of blankets and their ipads before settling in for the night.  They were so excited and I was again overwhelmed with love for Joey.  He is such a fun dad and the boys are so lucky to have him to look up to.

Harlee's First Temple Trip

Today Harlee and I went to the Draper Temple to perform baptisms for the dead.  It was such a special experience.  I went with the intention of watching Har but she talked me into doing the baptisms with her.  We each did 3 conformations followed by five baptisms.  I had tears in my eyes as I watched my beautiful daughter perform this sacred service.  We got there at 3 pm and walked out of the temple at 3:28 pm.  It was such a great reminder that attending the temple doesn't always take very long and it is so helpful to those waiting for their work to be done.  We will definitely be going again.

Childs Easter Egg Hunt

Since we were spending time with my family on Easter the Childs egg hunt was scheduled for the following Saturday.  We had so much fun!  The whole family besides Daryk were there and it was so great to catch up with everyone.  We did the adult hunt in KC and Mike's backyard.  Brody and Carson were the big winners.  Then we headed back to John and Darolyne's for the kids hunt.  Everyone got at least $10 and lots of candy.  We had pizza and ice cream and it was the best time.  I am so grateful for this amazing family that I get to be a part of.

Nash's Date

We have had a crazy month but we were not going to let April pass us by without taking Nash on his special date.  We were so excited to spend a little time with Nash.  For his date we started out at Top Golf.  We were so excited to get to go to Top golf again.   We rented the booth for an hour and got plenty of turns to practice our swing.  Joey did AMAZING!  I would almost be mad at him for being so good at everything if it wasn't so attractive.  Nash and I started off a little rocky but got much better with practice.  We took turns hitting balls while enjoying the delicious donuts.  After an hour we made our way to Cafe Rio for lunch.  Nash chose Cafe Rio once he learned we could get chips and salsa.  It was so fun to spend time with him and hear all about what is going on in his life.  He is such an amazing kid and I so enjoyed this special time with him.

Color Run

After a very stormy morning, the weather turned beautiful just in time for the Ignite Color Run.  The course was a little over two miles.  As the kids went through the starting line and any water station they were showered with color.  What a fun run!  Both Harlee and Nash finished the race with a smile on their face so that is a great sign!  I was able to cheer them both on at the finish line.  I am so glad that they get to have these fun experiences.

We have a dentist in the family

Congratulations Jeremy!  He graduated this morning from Roseman Dental School.  It has been a long road for him but so worth it.  I am so happy for him.  He received a scholarship where he gives three years to work in a dental clinic in the US and gets paid a very competitive salary.  They are moving to Virginia.  I am going to miss them so much but I am so excited for them.  Thanks Jeremy for being such an example to me.

Mimi's Easter Egg Hunt

So typically we try to celebrate with family on a day around the holiday so that on the actual holiday we can celebrate at home with just our little family.  Today we made an exception and celebrated with my side of the family.  The reason for the exception was because all of my family, except for Kaydan, came into town for Jeremy's graduation from dental school tomorrow.  It was so fun to have everyone there.  I loved visiting with everyone and catching up.  We had a yummy dinner of ham and potatoes before doing the egg hunt.  The kids all had so much fun searching for the eggs.  After the hunt Don and Charity gave my mom an egg with an ultrasound picture in it.  They are expecting another baby!  So excited for them.  I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with all of my siblings.  They are such blessings to me.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
