Almond Joy

When the kids returned from trick or treating the all sat at the table and dumped out their loot.  I noticed that Tag had a ton of almond joys.  Joey proceeded to tell me why.  I guess at one of their first houses Tag asked Joey if he liked the "blue ones".  Joey said "Yes".  From that point on, any house that offered almond joy Tag would get one for his Dad.  I seriously teared up when he told me this story.  What a perfect, sweet, example this angel boy is to me.  So grateful that I get to learn from him as his mom.

Halloween Night 2016

After wearing their costumes a few hundred times it was finally time to wear them for the real event- trick or treating!  We had a fun dinner of pumpkin pizzas and then they all got ready to go.  It was still light outside but they could not wait any longer!  This year Luke went with a bunch of friends and Joey took the others out.  I stayed home and passed out tons of candy!  They lasted longer than expected and got home around 8pm.  Luke got home around 9pm.  They all made out very well and thought it was worth all of the walking!

Annual Halloween Parade

Today we had the annual school Halloween parade.  This is the first year that I sat by myself and watched the parade.  They split it up to a track and b track.  It was not too crowded and moved pretty quickly!  Definitely my favorite parade so far!  Love these cute kids!

Harlee's Halloween Party

Today I had the opportunity to go and work in Harlee's class to help with the Halloween party.  Since I am one person, who is also trying to work an almost full-time job, I told the kids that I would take turns helping with a class party this year.  First it was Harlee's turn!  I was in charge of a game so we played Halloween Bingo.  It was so fun to meet Harlee's friends and to see her in her element.  She is such a good girl and it is very obvious that everyone LOVES her, especially her teacher.  So grateful she is still at the stage where she loves me and is not embarrassed of me.  Hoping it stays this way forever!

Mimi's Halloween Party

Tonight we had Mimi's Annual Halloween party.  The kids all got dressed up in their costumes and we headed over to Jenna's for pizza, games, and cooking making.  This year was especially fun since Tara and her family flew up for a visit.  Harlee couldn't wait to see Susie!  The kids played games as we visited and made pizza.  After dinner the kids frosted pumpkin cookies.  I love that they get to enjoy this time with their Mimi and all of their cousins.  Such fun memories!  At the end of the night Susie showcased her wig from China.  So so funny!

The tradition is BACK!

After a year hiatus Joey's work decided to bring back the annual trick or treating.  It was a little chaotic getting all the kiddos from three different schools but we made it just 10 minutes after it started.  Tag was a little nervous but all the other kids had a great time.  It was a perfect way to start the Halloween weekend!

Daddy/ Daughter Pumpkin Night

On Thursday we had the Daddy/ Daughter pumpkin carving activity.  The bonus this year is that I was called to be an Activity Day leader so I got to be there with them.  They carved pumpkins and Harlee and Joey won the most Geograhical!  Their pumpkin had the shape of Utah on one side and Lehi on the other.  After pumpkins they reluctantly (and by they I mean Joey) took pictures in the photo booth.  I am so grateful that Joey had the opportunity to love and raise one of Heavenly Father's best.  And I am so grateful that Harlee gets to look up to a father that is not only an amazing example but so much fun!

World's Collide- Tag's Field Trip

It is so funny to watch how Tag just has a hard time with me showing up at his school functions.  It is as if his world's are colliding and he is not sure how to handle it!  We went to the Springville Pumpkin Patch for his field trip.  I had to tell him lots of times that I was staying with him the whole time!  Once he was convinced I was not going anywhere he allowed himself to have a little fun.  We went through the corn maze- super fun being led by a four year!  Then we went to see the animals, played in the corn, went on a hay ride, and then picked out a pumpkin.  I am beyond grateful for this school and for all of his teachers that love him and give so much of their time to help our Tag.

Sleeping Beauty

When I went to wake Luke up for school his little sleeping partner was really comfortable.  Who sleeps like this?  I think that since Harlee now sleeps more still than ever, post tonsils, Gray wins the award for funniest sleeper!

More Updates to our Forever SG Home

Let the painting begin!  When we bought the house it was pretty obvious that the previous owners were Packers Fans!  The basement was yellow and green along with TONS of brown!  We are going to spend a ton of time painting down there and decided to get started on this trip.  We painted the walls gray and the bead board white.   We still need quite a few coats of the white but it is starting to look a lot more like our style.  I am excited for all of the changes that will come over the next few years as we turn this into our perfect home away from home!

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
