Basement progress

On Friday, Tim the contractor let us know that he was heading up north for the weekend.  He was able to get a lot accomplished this last week.  He got all of the tile backsplash up and just needs to grout the tile.  It looks so good!  I seriously love it and it makes such a difference in the kitchen.  He is heading back down on Monday to work on texturing the walls and getting the basement painted.  I cannot wait to see the progress after another week.  So excited for all of the updates.

Bless his heart

Tag had a rough night of being sick.  He threw up and pooped in Tag's room in the early morning hours.  Tag was so worried that I would be upset with him.  That poor kid is always terrified of disappointing me- makes me feel so bad.  I made sure to remind him in the morning that Ike's accidents are in no way his fault.  We cleaned it all up and Ike seemed to feel better as the day went out.  When I went in Tag's room, I found the sweetest letter that he had written for me.  Bless his sweet heart.  Love him so much!

Siblings Dinner

On Sunday, Cory called me to let me know that he would be in Utah this week for work.  We were able to arrange a dinner where all the Utah siblings were able to make it.  So fun!  We met at Tacqueria 27 at 6:30pm and we seriously had the best time.  It was so great to catch up with everyone.  I treasure my relationships with my siblings.  They are all such good people and amazing examples to me.  Hopefully next time, Tara and Jeremy will also be able to make it.  We missed them.

A night with the mission buds...

Tonight after work, Luke went to hang out with four elders from his mission.  They went to a ramen place in Provo.  It was Luke, Elder Betancorth, Elder Santos, and two other elders.  Luke said he had the best time.  I love that these relationships continue after serving for two years.  Such a blessing!

A Special Visitor

Audrey has been attending BYU Idaho this school year.  She was planning to come to Lehi to watch conference with some friends.  She reached out to see if we would have time for a visit sometime this weekend and I was so excited!  It makes me so happy that she wants to come spend time with us.  After the first session of conference on Sunday, Har went to Provo to pick her up.  We made fajitas for lunch and spent the next 3 hours catching up and trying to watch a little bit of conference.  She is doing so amazing at school and living independently.  Such an example!  What a wonderful afternoon to get to visit with her.

Minecraft

Tag is not a movie lover but he was excited to see the Minecraft movie.  Nash and Gray were very willing to take him which was such a blessing.  I ordered their tickets, popcorn, and drinks then Nash drove them to the theater. (So nice that I do not have to drive them anymore :)) They all liked the movie and thought is was super funny!  There was one part at the very end, in the post credit scene, Tag was laughing so hard that he spit his drink out.  So funny! For a crazy as it was having all these kids so close together, watching them all have fun together is such a reward.  So glad they were able to have a great afternoon together.

Twinning is Winning

Tonight after work, Luke went with his high school buddies to see the Minecraft movie.  He and his friend Mac were twinning in their movie attire.  So fun- they all have the best time together!  I love that Luke and his high school buddies have just picked up where they left off.  Such treasured friendships.

Friday Fun

Today is the last day of Spring Break and we needed to have a little more fun.  Luke had to work but I took the other kids to Nickle City in Orem.  I got them each a card with $15 on it and they were able to play games for about an hour.  They all won a ton of tickets but Har was the biggest winner.  She won a jackpot several times so she had over 2500 tickets.  She used 1000 on a rubber chicken and gave the other 1500 to Tag.  She is so kind to him.  They had a great time.  We then decided to grab some In & Out for lunch on the way home.  So good!  This was the perfect way to wrap up Spring Break.  Having a break makes me so excited for summer.

His own bank account

Since Tag is now a teenager, we went to Wells Fargo to open up his own bank account.  He has been pretty good at saving his money so he had just a little over $300 to start his account.  He is so excited to have his own debit card and I am excited for him to have a safe place to  put his money.  Such a big step for our baby.  Time is moving too fast...

Basement Demo

Our St. George home is going to be our forever home once the kids are done with school.  We plan to sell our Lehi home and move down to our favorite place.  Our goal is to have all of the renovations done by the time that we move there.  We decided to start with the basement since Har and Miah will be living there for school at Utah Tech.  So it was a busy time down there filled with work.  We moved out all of the furniture, took up all of the floors, demoed the bar, took of the baseboards and then took down the wainscoting.  Nash and Gray were such amazing helpers and we could not have finished the work without them.  So excited for the space to be fresh and updated.  It is going to be such a fun place for Har and Miah to live and enjoy their time at Utah Tech. Tim, the contractor that did the kitchen down there is going to be doing the work.  Cannot wait to see it when it is done..

Part 1 of Spring Break in our favorite place

This week was spring break and we were so excited to get to go down to St. George for a few days.  Luke had to work and Harlee had to do school for her college courses, so it was just Joey, me, and the 3 younger boys.  We were going down for a little fun but the main reason was to demo the basement since we are going to be remodeling that over the next couple of months.  I will post about that in a minute but we did manage to have some fun while we were there.  We heated the pool and the boys spent a lot of time swimming.  We went and did the Stairs at Techridge which are 333 stairs.  It is a new thing in SG where people go to see how fast you can complete the stairs.  We did it in about 3 minutes.  We will for sure go back and do them another time.  We also went to Pork Belly's with grandma and grandpa- like usual, it did not disappoint.  It was great to get to visit with them.  We also were able to go on a hike while Tag went shopping for his birthday with Grandma and Grandpa.  We also were able to have a family bbq and visit with Hailee's family.  We also bought a smart tv for the main living room- no more fire stick! We got so much done and crammed into 3 full days and I am excited to be home and enjoy the rest of spring break.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
