We drove to SG on Friday afternoon with everyone but Luke who opted to have some time alone in Lehi! We arrived there a little after 4pm. We got unpacked and settled in. Nash, Har, Joey and I went to Lynn's to get parade of homes tickets. We bought four so Nash and Gray could take turns going since they did not want to go to all of the homes. Tag opted out 😂 We bought the tickets and then went to 3 homes. They were amazing! One of the homes was actually owned by the lead singer of Imagine Dragons. It was beautiful. After we saw the homes we stopped and grabbed dinner to take back home. We got McDonalds for the boys and then cheap Mexican food for Joey, Har, and I. It was so good. We just relaxed and watched shows together for the rest of the night. Saturday was a kind of perfect day! Joey woke up early and took Tag to get his favorite donut holes at Donutville. He was in heaven. Then we decided to go to a few more homes- it was Gray's turn this time. The homes were so fun to walk through. One was 12 million dollars and it was HUGE. Took us over 30 minutes to walk through. We then went and met John, Darolyne, Brody, Brendee, Yost, and Carson for lunch. We went to Pork Belly's and it was so fun to visit with everyone. After lunch, we took the boys and dropped them off at the rec center to swim. Har and I went shopping. We went to Ross and Walmart. Har ended up with a super cute swimsuit. We then went back home and went to a few more homes. We just stayed home and made grilled cheese for dinner. Gray had a few of his friends over and Nash joined them for a polar plunge in the pool. So crazy! They had a great time. We woke up Sunday and started the morning with Lynn's donuts. We went to some house and grabbed In and Out for the boys for lunch. We took Har, the only one willing, to try the new Mexican restaurant we had tried when we went down to SG for our anniversary. So good. Once we got back we cleaned really quick and were on our way home. Everyone has the day off tomorrow so we wanted to have a day at home before getting back to reality. It was such an amazing trip! I feel so blessed that we have this beautiful home in SG.
We are the Childs family. Joey and I have been married for 23 years. We five beautiful and busy children: Luke is 21, Harlee is 18, Nash is 16, Gray is 15, and Tag is 13. Our days are CRAZY! We never stop going but love every minute of it!

Valentine's Day
Is it a good Valentine's Day if this is the only picture I got? The kids woke up to a new outfit each and some candy which they appreciated. Joey got a couple of new sweatshirts, candy, and a playlist. Joey got me some candy and money that I used to get a couple of loungewear outfits that I have been wanting. Spoiled all the way around! The best way we celebrated was by driving down to SG to spend a few days going to the parade of homes. Love that I get to spend this weekend of love with those that I love most.

The only ones who appreciate a snow storm
At noon there was no snow and by the time the kids were all home from school at 3pm we had been dumped on. We ended up getting about 9 inches of snow so fast. This made the traffic horrific and it took Joey over 3 and 1/2 hours to drive home from Salt Lake-so crazy! Gray and Nash made the best of the snow and spent a couple hours out back. They made an amazing snow man and had a great time! I am so glad that someone loves the snow.
Funny Ike
Just a boy and his dog :) Today when Nash got home from school Ike climbed up and snuggled in. I wanted to take a picture and caught him with his tongue out. So cute! I love how much each of the kids love our puppy and he had better live for another 8 years! Love having him in our family.

Super bowl Sunday
We are not big football fans but we love Super Bowl Sunday. We love an excuse to make and consume a lot of junk food. This year wasn't any different. The teams in the super bowl this year were the Eagles and the Chiefs. The Eagles started off strong and by the end of the third quarter it was pretty obvious that the Chiefs did not have a chance. This year the half time show was Kendrick Lamar which made Luke, Nash, and Gray super happy. It was a pretty good show. But the best part of Super Bowl Sunday is spending time with my favorite people.
New and improved workout room
Since the kids are getting older, they have all really gotten into working out. Joey and I had the idea to swap the current work out room with the game room. The game room just does not get used as often and the idea of a bigger space for the work out room sounded great to all of us. We sold the ping pong table and the fusebol table and use that money to get a few items for the work out room. We just got a new sideboard to store some of the equipment and I love it! The only thing I hope to change is to eventually get a new treadmill that is not so loud.

Tag's Text
For some reason, Tag really wanted to sleep on the couch tonight. Ike usually sleeps with Tag every night so I told him if he wanted to sleep on the couch then he would need to see if Gray would let Ike sleep in his room. Gray likes to tease Tag a little and their text exchange is so funny. Especially when Tag has to specify "figuratively kill". I'm so glad he know that I would never realistically kill anyone. So funny!

Oh the worry...
This has been a super mild winter but today there was a lot of rain. It came in fast and hard. I ran downstairs to grab a drink and saw that there were towels all along the back door. Come to find out, Tag had put the towels there because he did not want water to come in. A couple of years ago when there was a big storm, water came into the basement. We have since had the door fixed but cute Tag still worries. I so love this boy...bless his sweet heart.

A little less hair...
Tonight when I was hugging Tag good night, I ran my hand through his hair and noticed some very long pieces of hair amongst some very short pieces of hair. I was so confused. It took a lot of prying and convincing Tag that he would not be in trouble, but he finally admitted that he cut his own hair. It was so funny! Thankfully Harlee was willing to work on cutting his hair and trying to make it as good as it could be.
23 years...
This weekend Joey and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary. How has it been 23 years? Time flies when you are living your best life. We decided to head down to St George and have some time alone together. It is such a blessing to have older kiddos so we can go and enjoy a weekend together. We left on Friday when Joey got home from work. We grabbed Jersey Mike's and we were on our way. We had so much fun just chatting and enjoying being together. We took a trailer down with a couple of new dressers and two new beds. When we arrived in SG we unpacked everything and then went to bed. We woke up the next day and went to grab some donuts at Donutville. We made sure to get some donut holes to bring home for Tag. We spent the next few hours putting beds together and switching out dressers. I know that does not sound like a fun anniversary celebration but it was actually so rewarding to work together. I feel so blessed that we can work out upgrading our forever home together. After we worked a bit we went and tried a new Mexican restaurant which was so good. Then we went to see a movie together. We saw the movie about Bob Dylan's life. It was really good and it was so fun to see it together. I cannot remember the last time we went to the movies together. We packed up in the morning and headed back to reality. It was such a nice weekend with my best friend. I am so grateful for the family that we created and the beautiful life that we get to live.

Another legal adult in the family
Happy birthday Har! I seriously cannot believe that you are 18- when did that happen? We celebrated Har by going to Sanctuary spa for facials. It was amazing! I feel so lucky that she wants to do this with me every year. After the facials, we drove over to Olive Garden. Luke drove the boys up to meet us and Joey met us there after work. We had an amazing waitress and dinner was so fun. It was such a blessing to have the whole family there to celebrate. After dinner we went home for some presents and krispy kreme donuts. Harlee got an apple watch and a few other things that she wanted. Can't wait to see what this year brings for her. She deserves all the amazing things!
