The Sweetest Gesture

For some reason our master bedroom always feels 10 degrees colder than the other rooms upstairs.  When I walked into our room tonight, Tag was sitting on our bed chatting with Joey.  I commented on how freezing the room was.  I then went to change my clothes.  When I returned, Tag was setting a blanket on my bed.  He told Joey it was for me because he didn't want me to be cold.  Seriously?  What a sweet boy.  He loves his mom and I am so blessed.  I love him so much.

Gray's latest artwork

Gray has been taking an art class at school this semester at school.  He is an incredible artist.  For his latest project he needed to do a perspective drawing.  He did a two point perspective drawing with a farm and farm animals.  It turned out great.  Amazing job Graybies!

Ike is 6

Our baby dog is 6!  I cannot believe it.  It has been almost six years since he joined our family.  He is such a blessing and we all love him so much!  Here's hoping we have at least six more birthdays to celebrate him  We love him so much.

Michael Jordan

For Nash's art class this semester, he was given an assignment to do a free draw.  He was thinking about doing the picture of the four of them at the Big Time Rush concert but he convinced himself that would be to much of an undertaking.  So he decided to draw Michael Jordan.  I am so impressed!  He is such a talented artist.  I love that he has the opportunity to take art again and to perfect his craft.  Amazing job Nash!

Halloween

Halloween becomes less and less of a thing each year.  I wish the kids would stop growing up!  Tag was the only one that really dressed up.  Gray wore a mask and went trick or treating with Tag and a few friends.  Nash ended up going trick or treating a little later with Gabriel.  He wore a wig and called it good.  They all scored so much candy.  Harlee and Nicci hung out and got Ike Halloween ready.  Successful night for sure.

Halloween Parade

This morning was the Halloween Parade at Traverse Mountain Elementary.  Tag is our only kiddo in elementary school which is crazy.  Long gone are the days when I would stress about the parade with littles.  Luke went with me and it was so fun to see Tag.  I so love that boy.

Mimi's Halloween Party

With so many living outside of Utah and the kids getting older, the numbers are dwindling.  But this morning I took the kids to Mimi and GP's new home in Mapleton to make Halloween cookies and have pizza.  It was me and my kids and Don and his girls.  The girls loved chasing my boys in the basement and stealing their hats.  It was fun to visit and for the cousins to have some fun together.  Great morning!

Pumpkin Carving

Tag went on his weekly Sams/Walmart trip last night and talked Joey into getting some pumpkins.  Tag LOVES Halloween!  He is pretty adamant about actually carving the pumpkins.  I tried painting pumpkins for a couple of years but Tag will not go for that anymore.  So funny!  The three boys spent  Saturday afternoon carving away.  I love how they all turned out.  Can't believe that Halloween is just a little over a week away.  Where does the time go?

Family Pictures

Although it has only been a year, I really wanted to get some family pictures before Luke left on his mission.  I heard bit of griping about the whole thing but then they realized they would have two years off from family pictures and they cooperated thankfully!  Mindi and Mike helped with pictures this year and then Daryk edited them for us.  Mindi suggested that we go over by Highland Glen by Lone Peak high school.  It truly was the perfect spot.  All of the pictures turned out so good.  I will cherish these for the next few years as I miss my missionary.

Trying new things

Tag is in a social skills class at school and he works with the school psychologist Lari Todd.  She is amazing and she loves Tag.  She is a self proclaimed picky eater and she know that Tag is also.  So she challenged him over Fall break to try something new.  Tag opted to try a pear.  He did a really good job.  He actually ate one full slice of a pear.  I am so proud of him.  I know that he just really does not love trying new foods but he handled this like a champ.  Way to go Tag!

Fall Break in SG

I could not pick a better place to spend a few days with my favorite people.  Harlee wanted to go to the football game so we left at 8:30pm.  We arrived in SG a little after midnight, unpacked, and went to bad.  We woke up and Joey and I got a little work done while the kids swam.  We took a break and went to our favorite restaurant for lunch- Porkbellys.  We just love that place.  It was one of those perfect moments for me.  We were all chatting and started telling funny stories about Joey.  We were all laughing so hard to the point of crying.  It was seriously the best.  I told Joey later that night that it was one of those times where everything felt right in my world.  We came home and that perfect moment continued.  I was laying out reading a book to the background noise of Gray and Tag hanging out and chatting.  I loved it.  Joey and I then went to Costco and grabbed pizza for dinner.  After dinner, Harlee and I went to visit Tammy for a little bit.  Sure love her!  Such a great day.  On Friday we just relaxed and hung out at home.   Nash and Luke went to the gym and Harlee and I did a little shopping.  We were able to find a shirt for Luke for our upcoming family pictures.  That night we went to Pizza Factory for dinner and took a drive by Aunt Bonnie's house.  We left her neighborhood without any regret for our move.  On Saturday we woke up and went to a few garage sales.  We filled up on some grilled cheese for lunch before going on a hike with KC and Mike.  We hiked the Spring Creek Trail in Kannaraville.  The hike was beautiful and it was so fun to visit with KC and Mike.  Tag did not love that it took over two hours!  We grabbed dinner on the way home and went home to get the house cleaned.  We left on Sunday morning to come home.  It was such a wonderful trip.  So crazy to think that it is Luke's last time for the next couple of years.  And by the way, we got an email on Friday stating that Luke will on do one day of at home MTC.  He will be going to the MTC on December 14th.  I think I need time to slow down...

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
