We are the Childs family. Joey and I have been married for 23 years. We five beautiful and busy children: Luke is 21, Harlee is 18, Nash is 16, Gray is 15, and Tag is 13. Our days are CRAZY! We never stop going but love every minute of it!

Finally breaking in the recommend...
I am embarrassed to say that Luke has had his temple recommend for months and we have had several failed attempts to go do baptisms. He finally got the opportunity to go with the YM/YW to the Payson temple. Luke said "It was fun. I felt the Holy Ghost a lot while I was there." He had ten names and was able to do ten baptisms and ten confirmations. So proud of Luke and the good choices that he makes that allows him to enter the temple.

Who said he doesn't like sandwiches?
It is no secret that our Tag is a litte particular when it comes to food! He has a few favorites and rarely strays from them. He loves carnation instant breakfast, vanilla and heated to medium. He loves Jennie O turkey hot dogs, apples, cinnamon rolls, and cheez-its. Latly he has been making a special cheez it sandwich. He does this by getting a cheez it, chewing it up, and sandwiching it between two whole cheez its. Kind of gross! How does he come up with these things? Love how he is being creative with his limited list of foods he likes!
Family Game Night
Sunday was Stake Conference and we were so grateful for early church and no meetings for Joey. We enjoyed a nice day of relaxing. After dinner we decided to play clue. Tag was my partner and we had so much fun. We all got a little confused and had to look at the middle cards before anyone won. I love these family times and I need to make more time for these game nights. Love my family!
*Joey did not want his picture taken- can you tell?

Our new favorite purchase
For the last couple of weeks we noticed the refrigerator was not getting very cold. I was really concerned when the milk was spoiling and we realized that we would need a new fridge. We found a brand new one on KSL and the guy would deliver. So exciting. The fridge is beautiful and the water and ice work! We are in heaven. Getting the old refrigerator out proved to be a job for more than Joey, Luke, and I but after a few tears we did get the old friedge out to the garage. Next time I will demand that we call a few neighbors for some health!

Park Day
It was finally warm outside and the boys swim practice was cancelled, so we decided to take Ike to the park. It was so much fun! I think Ike might have had the best time of them all. He loved the freedom to just run! Harlee was a little worried about him escaping but he ran like he was in heaven! The kids all had fun playing infection and playing on the playground. It was such a great way to start the weekend! Love family time! I think we will need to come back here again tomorrow!

Edible Rewards for the good grades
On Friday the kids brought home their report cards. They had all done amazing. Nash reminded me of the free donuts that Krispy Kreme rewards you with for your good grades. We decided that on Saturday we would go cash in. Kai was over playing and he came with us. Luke decided to stay home and hang out with friends so we brought him back some since he got straight A's last term. So proud of this smart kiddos!
Ike's new bed
I am a little surprised at how big this puppy of ours is getting. He is about 6 days shy of 4 months and he is already 12 pounds. When we bought him she told us that he would only get to be 6-7 lbs. We wouldn't change a thing though. It is crazy how much we love this puppy. Since he has gotten so big he needed a new bed. He loves it! So grateful for the new element of love this little guy brings to our family.

President's Day in the SG
We left on Friday night to go spend the weekend in St. George. I was so excited to get away but a little nervous about all of the work that awaited us. We decided this year that we were going to replace the floors on the main floor in our dream house. I thought it would be so great if rather than working all of spring break and getting them done while we are down there for a long period of time, that we should tear up the floors so that they can be done before we go back down. It was so much work! But before I dwell on that, we did have some fun while we were down there. On Saturday we got up and enjoyed our traditional eggs and bacon breakfast! Then we all got ready and we were off. The kids went with Grandma and Grandpa for the day. They went swimming and to Larsen's for lunch. Joey and I got to spend the day going to the parade of homes and to lunch. We saw so many amazing homes! It was so nice to be able to spend the day together. We just have the best time! When we got back we went to work and pulled up the living room floors. Then Joey went to Home Depot for one of five trips to buy the tile. While he was gone with Luke, Nash, Harlee, and I tore up the hallway floor. When they got back we worked on the bathroom tile and Joey worked on the rock in the corner. I was not sure if he would be able to get that up. It was pure cement! But by the time we left on Monday, Joey had conquered the rock! The room looks so much bigger without that in the corner. Joey is just such a worker and he never ceases to amaze me. On Sunday, we took a break from working and went to the movies. Joey took the boys to see "Lego Batman" and Harlee and I went to see "La La Land". It was so fun to spend time with her and enjoy a girlie movie. The boys loved their movie and thought it was so funny! After the movies we rested a bit and headed over to John and Darolyne's for a yummy enchilada dinner and a little time at the park. Then it was back home for a long night of work. We woke up early on Monday morning to finish up as much as we can. We are hiring Ryan to go down and break up the tile in the laundry room and finish the border of the basement bathroom. I am just praying we can get a bid and get someone in there to finish the work before we get down there. It will look so nice with the new floors. I cannot wait for the change that will bring. I am so grateful for this time that we get to enjoy and work together as a family. This home is such a blessing to us!

My Baby
I cannot believe that my baby is almost five! He still loves to snuggle and sneak into our bed. This morning when I was coming upstairs after working out, I was stopped by this sweet face. It doesn't get much cuter. When I think of Tag I think of innocence and pure. This little guy brings me so much joy. He loves to snuggle me and to smell my blankie! He loves red gum and playing with his siblings. A couple weeks ago I was having a difficult day dealing with work and four kids with the stomach flu. I climbed into bed and Tag said "Mom, thanks so much!" I asked him for what to which he replied, "For letting me love you!". Seriously?? He is such an angel. I thank Heavenly Father daily for him and the strong prompting I had to have one more baby. To think I could have missed out on all of the blessings that Tag brings. I am so grateful for him and it is an honor to be his mom.

Cougarette Showcase
We crashed the Dietrich family Cougarette Showcase again and had the best time! We went to Good Thyme Eatery for dinner and it was pretty good. Then we went to the showcase and sat two rows girback from the stage. It was amazing! But what was even more amazing was watching with my favorite girl. Harlee sat by me with her arm looped in mine- dream come true! I love enjoying dance with my favorite little dancer.
Nash's New Bedding
Since we switched the rooms around and Nash now has his own room, he needed some new bedding of his own. We ordered a new comforter from Pottery Barn Teen and I love it! Nash loves it too and his room is coming together.
