Loving the change...

The home renovations continue and I am loving the changes. We tore up the hardwood floors and had new floors put in the master, loft, hall, and the entry. We also had new carpet put on the stairs. We love the carpet so much that we are going to recarpet all of the rooms in the same one. Such a difference. I also would love to stain the stair railing a little darker to match the improvements. There is no way I will leave this beautiful home willingly! So blessed!!

April Fool's

I am not a big prankster but I love that my kiddos are. They get so excited about April Fools Day. We spent the morning on Pinterest trying to figure out some good pranks. Luke scraped the frosting off of oreo mini's and replaced it with mayonnaise. Harlee and Nash both put playdough in a gum wrapper. They had so much fun tricking their friends. Luke said it was a success until one of his friends actually liked the mayo oreos! Love these kids and the fun they bring to our life!

Harlee's Talent

For Harlee's third grade class they were doing a talent show for each other. Harlee is such a wonderful dancer but she was nervous to get up and dance in front of her class. So we came up with the idea to share her talent for baking. She asked me if I would help her make sugar cookies that she could share with the class. She did such a great job making the cookies and decorating them. She chose to do turquoise frosting so that the boys and girls would like the color. Her classmates loved the cookies. Love that I get to make these memories with my favorite girl.

Best dressed for Easter

This Easter Sunday was the first one with our new church time. For the rest of the year we will be going from 11-2pm. Kind of yucky! This Sunday Joey and I had to speak also. Added a lot of stress to the past week. It is so nice to have it done and I have to admit that it was so nice to be able to spend the week of Easter focused on the Savior. I am so grateful for His sacrifices that I might be able to be forgiven for my many mistakes and to be able to live with my family eternally. I love them so much and pray that they always feel the Spirit and cling to the Gospel. For it is through the Gospel that I find my greatest blessings. PS- Harlee stayed home from church so I will have to get a picture of her later in her cute Easter dress!

Easter Morning

Since the kids had stayed up so late on Saturday night, they did not wake up until after 7:30am. But as soon as Harlee was up, she went and made sure everyone else was awake. They all made their way down to see what the Easter Bunny had left. They all got some money eggs, a new shirt, and too much candy. They also got a movie and two Wii U games to share. Tag was super reluctant to look at his basket. Once he decided he was ready he was super excited about what he got! Especially the gum and baby bottle pops. Love these cute kids and the excitement they bring to the holidays.

Women's Conference

On Saturday it was the General Women's Session of conference. Since Harlee was starting to feel better we went and got take out at Pacos Tacos. Then we got in our comfy clothes and watched conference together. Such good messages were shared on loving and serving others. I love that I get to experience these things with Harlee. She is such a blessing to me. I really could not have asked for a better daughter.

Mimi's Birthday/Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we had the Mimi's annual Easter egg hunt. It also happened to be Mimi's birthday. I had to attend without Joey and Harlee because he was with her at the Instacare. She had been complaining of a sore throat the past few days and then she started throwing up. I think Joey was secretly grateful for an excuse! Even without them we had a great time. Cory and Holly came up and surprised my mom. We enjoyed sandwiches and then did the hunt. Nash was the lucky winner of the five dollar egg. Such a fun time with family!

Tag's 4 year old checkup

On Thursday morning Tag had his 4 year old checkup with Dr. Stampfl. Here are his stats: 44 lbs which is the 92% and 42.5 inches tall which is the 85%. The doctor said he was doing great living on instant breakfast and hot dogs. He loved all of the progress that Tag has made! When it came time for the actual check up Tag was not having it. Thankfully Gray was willing to be the guinea pig. Dr. D would check Gray first and then Tag was a lot more willing to have his turn. Gray truly is a blessing for Tag. He is such a great example and helps Tag through difficult situations. I really feel it was not by circumstance that Gray came first to the Childs family.

Luke's Castle Project

Luke came home at the beginning of the week and mentioned that he had a project due on Friday. He had to build a model of a castle and label the parts. He went to work and put many hours into this project. He painted, glued, and designed an amazing castle. He did the project without any help and we are so proud of him and how it turned out!

Our Baby is 4!

Although he did not love it when we brought up his birthday, he got a lot more excited as the day got closer. He had mentioned that he wanted a mario bed, luigi backpack and a luigi cake. Our artist Luke did the cake and Joey and I came through with the presents. He was not disappointed. Not only did he get what he asked for but he also got a new batman jacket and a luigi toy. Here we are three days out and he is still carrying luigi around everywhere with him. We are so excited to celebrate our little guy. He is truly a gift to our family. Happy 4th birthday Tag! We love you so much!

Provo City Center Temple Dedication

This morning Luke, Harlee, and I had the opportunity to attend the Provo City Center Temple Dedication. This was extra special because we had the chance to go through the temple before it was dedicated. Such a neat experience to listen to the words of Elder Oaks and to feel of the strong spirit. I am so grateful for my testimony and for experiences like this that help to strengthen it. I am so grateful for the temple and for the blessings that it brings to me and my family.

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
