Bucket List

For so many years I have looked forward to all of the kids being at a good age for us to enjoy public outings together. Today I got to enjoy one of those events! Joey and I decided to take the kids to see Zootopia. I was a little nervous how Tag would do sitting for that long but he was really good. We all enjoyed this cute movie together and it was a wonderful time. So grateful for my family and so grateful that Joey works hard so that we can make memories together.

A night away

For Christmas KC got Joey and I an $85 gift card to hotels.com. What better way to celebrate a week apart than you go away and spend the night together? Joey got home about 4pm and we went to Goodwood for dinner. Then we went to the furniture lady to buy a picture and to Home Goods for a new bedspread. We had the best night together! He is seriously my best friend. He makes me laugh, makes me feel safe, makes me feel loved and he is my favorite person to be with. So grateful for Brenna and her willingness to take care of the kids so we can enjoy a little break. What a perfect night!

Lucky gets lucky

All week long the kids worked hard on their leprechaun traps convinced that this would be the year that they caught Lucky. They had some great ideas, free gold, slippery slides greased with KY jelly (they will laugh at this some day!), ladders, the whole works. Unfortunately their best efforts did not result in a capture. Lucky came and created some havoc, stacking pillows, turning over pictures and vases, and he even made the toilet water green. But along with the craziness he brought the kids each a bag of green treats. The kids were so excited to see what he had done and we celebrated with the annual green egg breakfast!

All is right in my world

Yesterday before the storm came in, we decided to spend a little time at the park. Joey was pushing all of us on the spinning toy and it was so much fun. All of the kids are at the perfect park age. They have a lot of fun together and they all are pretty independent. I love watching Joey have so much fun with the kids. As I stood at the park watching him and seeing the smiles on all my kids faces, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude. Joey is home which is such a blessing and I am surrounded by the people I love the most. So grateful for my family and for these special times we get to enjoy each other.

Twinsies

On Friday we went to Costco. Tag and Gray saw the batman jammies and they both had to have them. SO fun that they are so close and still enjoy the same things. Love these cute batman boys and I am so lucky to be their mom!

Beehive Meet

Luke qualified again for the Beehive Swim Meet in freestyle. He had a qualifying time of 39 seconds. The meet was on Friday in Provo. He swam so well and actually improved to 37.6! So so proud of him. He is such a hard worker and all of his efforts are paying off. We were looking at his time for the freestyle in the July Beehive meet. He had gotten 45 seconds. He has shaved almost 8 seconds off his time in just 8 months. Such an accomplishment. Love watching him swim and I am so proud of him.

Living my dream...

Joey sent me this picture last night from his trip. He went on a tour of New York City. This has been a dream of mine ever since I could remember. I have dreamed of dancing at Lincoln Center, watching the Rockettes, and touring around Time Square. Joey got to see all of the sights and enjoy a little New York pizza. So happy that he had a little fun in his long week of work. Just wish I could have been there with him!

My three youngest

I snapped this picture the other night of the three little guys after their baths and it quickly became one of my favorites. I love how close they are. They all wanted to wear the same shirt that Mimi got them for Christmas. They are all such cute boys and bring such blessings into our family.

The long week ahead...

Ignore the behead and no make-up pics but I wanted to post about Joey taking off for another business trip. My best friend is leaving this morning for New Jersey and will not get back until late Friday night. He left about 20 minutes ago and I already miss him. He is such a partner to me and I realize it even more when he is gone. I am so grateful for the husband and father that he is. He makes life fun and he is always so helpful. I pray this week goes quickly because it is not right without him. I was telling Joey last night that we need to celebrate the fact that I get sad and miss him so much when he is gone. Still so in love after all of these years...

Our new bed

I am in LOVE! I have been wanting an upholstered headboard for a long time. When Joey and I went to the parade of homes in SG this type of bed was in every master. I just love it! We decided to sell our bed last week and we got $350 for it. Not bad since years ago we bought it for $350! So great! We went to this cute store yesterday called The Furniture Lady and we bought the last gray one they had. I love this bed and cannot wait until the wall behind it gets done next week.

Special Delivery

When I went to get the mail the other day I found this sweet little note. Gray said that his teacher asked him to write a note to someone special and he chose Tag. I love that he thought to send this to him. It has been such a blessing for both of them to have the mornings together just the two of them. Although Tag blames Gray for EVERYTHING, I know that they both love each other so much and have a special friendship. What a sweet example of what they mean to each other.
