Updating the SG House

We have been waiting for tax/bonus season so we could ditch the gross carpet and update the floors in our St. George home. It took a little longer than we anticipated but it was so worth it. They look beautiful. We also had a plumber out to fix the leaky sink and replace the faucet that has been loose ever since we bought the place. We started the cabinet updates with the master bathroom and they look so good. We have plans to paint all the cabinets white and brighten up the paint in the master, the bathrooms, and the kitchen. So fun to watch my perfect place get even better. So blessed!!

More St George FUN

I cannot believe how quickly the ten days flew by. We spent our time working on the house, hiking, eating, shopping, and swimming. We had so much fun. I cannot believe we are lucky enough to have this home in such a beautiful city. We love it there and feel so blessed. So excited that our kids get to make memories enjoying time together.

Finally made it to Zions

For all the times we have gone to St. George we have never made it to Zions National Park. We almost made it there when Luke was little and I was pregnant with Harlee. It was a busy weekend and I was not feeling great, so we made it to the park before the park! This time we actually went in the park. It is so BEAUTIFUL!!! We had to park and ride the shuttle in. Then we hiked inside the park and it did not disappoint. The kids were so good! After Zion's we stopped at an old Ghost Town called Grafton. It was so fun to see the old town. What a great day. I seriously LOVE family time.

Bath Buddies

When Joey and Jamie were little Darolyne snapped a picture of them having a bath together. It is such a cute picture. These pictures of Tag and Gray remind me so much of that picture. Such cute little boys. Love them!! Maybe one day I will be showing their wives these sweet photos!

Easter in St. George

This year we were so lucky to spend Easter in my favorite place. Conference happened to fall on Easter weekend so it was a bonus. It was an amazing conference and I loved hearing from my Heavenly Father through his special servants. What a special day. The kids woke up and the easter bunny had visited. He left them each a movie, a new shirt, colored bubbles, and too much candy. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast of eggs, bacon, and cinnamon rolls. We spent the morning and afternoon listening to conference and ripping up carpet! After conference we went to John and Darolyne's for an Easter barbecue and to stay a few days while our floor got done. Jamie and Mindi were also staying there which made it so fun. We enjoyed dinner and then walked down to one our favorite parks by their house. It was such a beautiful night. What a perfect Easter. I am so grateful for my Savior and His amazing sacrifice. Because of Him I get to live with my family forever. My greatest blessings!!

Our Favorite Trail

On our first full night in the SG of our 10 day vacation, we went and walked our favorite trail. They have been working on the trail and recently opened the entrance near our home. Luke took his long board, Nash rode his scooter, Harlee walked, and Gray and Tag rode their plasma cars. It was so much fun. Before turning around to come back the kids found a hill and took turns flying down. I love watching them have fun. Their laughter is just the best sound to my ears. Love moments like this. Love my family!

Backward's Day

Yesterday, in honor of April Fool's Day, Gray was asked to wear his clothes backwards to preschool. He was so excited that he went to get dressed at 8am! Only 4.5 hours before he goes to school! He came running downstairs laughing and said "Mom, I even put my underwear on backwards!" Seriously this kid! He cracks me up. He is so funny and keeps us entertained. Love his funny personality! Also in honor of April Fool's, Harlee pulled a few pranks herself. She wrote in dusting spray on our tv in our room and then switched the batteries in the remote so it would not work. Very clever Har! So blessed to get to love these kids!

Our Student of the Month

Yesterday Nash came home with a certificate stating that he was the Student of the Month! They recognized him at an assembly and gave him tons of coupons for fun treats. His teacher sent home a note that said:"Nash is a very responsible student. He completes class work and he turns in homework. He also helps students who need it too. Mrs. Hatch" We are so proud of Nash. We think that he is amazing and it is so great to see that his teacher does too. Way to go Nash! *The funny face he made in the second picture is the one he told me he made in the picture of all the students of the month! That will be awesome!

Boston's Baptism and Mimi's Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday we had the opportunity to watch Boston make the amazing choice to be baptized. I love watching my kids see their cousins make such great choices. They are such examples to the younger ones. After the baptism we had lunch and the annual Easter egg hunt in Jenna's backyard. The kids had such a great time! Such a great day!

Our Steve Jobs

On Friday we got to go to Luke's classroom for the 5th grade Wax Museum. Luke was Steve Jobs and did an awesome job. We bought him a black mock turtleneck and some glasses. He opted to not let me shave his head and went with the hair slicked back look. I was so impressed with the tri-fold that he put together and his presentation was flawless. He made up a little game of Steve Job's trivia and rewarded correct answers with smarties. Such a smart boy! So proud of you Luke!

Tag's First Day of Preschool

On Wednesday Tag started his first day of preschool. He is attending Eagle Crest preschool on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. It will be such a great thing for him. His teacher is Miss Holly and she is great. He struggled a little when I dropped him off but then his teacher reported that he was happy and easily transitioned from one activity to the next! I went to pick him up at the bus stop and waited and waited. Finally we got a call that the bus had been in a little accident. Everyone was ok but the kids would not be released until the police came and did a report. I rushed to the scene of the accident and sat with Tag on the bus until the police came. Poor Tag had to sit on the bus for one hour and 20 minutes. I felt so bad. I hope he realizes that this is not how it is always going to be. So difficult for me to let him go. I know that this preschool will be such a blessing but those are the longest three hours for a mom missing her little guy! One of the mom's told me that I will be amazed by the progress he will make over the next year. So excited for that and so excited for Tag. Such a big boy! *Tag did not want to wear his backpack but insisted on carrying it on his back. Seriously the cutest!

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
