My Baby is 3

I cannot believe it! Our little Childs caboose is 3! Where did the time go? This little guy brings us so much joy and we honestly do not know what we would do without him in our family. He is a big fan of Paw Patrol and so Luke helped me make his Paw Patrol cake. He got a new paw patrol back pack, some new shoes, paw patrol bubbles, a paw patrol coloring book, and a new scooter. We love you Tag and cannot wait to see the progress that this year will bring.

Long awaited night away

With the craziness of the last few months we finally were able to spend a night away celebrating "us". Sweet Brenna came and stayed with the kids so we could enjoy a little alone time. We went to Goodwood for dinner and then went to stay the night at Zermatt. KC's friend hooked us up with an amazing room. We joked that we had never stayed in a room that big with our whole family! We spent hours just talking and loving time together. So grateful for such an amazing husband. After all these years together he is still my favorite. *Joey's friend from work sent us a fruit arrangement. It was so thoughtful and so good!

Another Trip to Prehistoric Times

After a few crazy weeks we finally made it back to the Dinosaur Museum. They were all so excited to go. We got there right when they opened and basically had the place to ourselves. It was awesome. I LOVE to watch these three interact and have so much fun discovery new things. Such a blessing to get to enjoy these places for free.

Lucky Day

Today was St. Patrick's Day and another year that they did not forget about Lucky the Leprechaun! Monday night they worked hard on a trap in hopes to catch him this year. It was a great try but he is just too quick and smart for their efforts! He did leave them each a bag of green goodies! He also made a pillow tower, turned pictures upside down, and left his green mark in the potty! So fun to see their excitement! They even asked for the annual green eggs!

Nash's Tryouts

Yesterday Nash has his big tryout for the swim team. We had Zach come review the strokes with him on Saturday and then we went to practice at the pool on Monday. He was ready! I was definitely a little more nervous than he was. Since he is six he only needed to swim the freestyle and the backstroke. He did such a great job. After the tryout I went up to the girl that coaches his team and she said she could not believe that he was only 6! She told me that he would find out on Friday or Saturday if he made it but that he should be pretty confident in his tryout. Such exciting news! We cannot wait to receive the email with the good news! So proud of you Nash!

JA Biztown

On Friday Luke had the opportunity to go to JA Biztown on a field trip. For months they have been preparing for this day. They have gone through job interviews, been awarded their jobs, and then they went to run their town. Luke was awarded the position of CEO of PROWS Construction. Luke had to give a speech introducing his company. He had to walk around and given out bills that he had printed on his labtop while building shelves, tables, and chairs. They also had to give out pictures to the mayor to earn money for their business. By the end, Luke's company had earned $147.52. They had to pay back a $152.52 to the bank for a loan that they had taken out. Luke's company was super close to paying it all back. Luke had such a great time learning about money and he said that he wishes he could go back there. What a great experience for him to learn a little bit about the real world!

ASD Level 1

For the last little bit we have been going through the diagnosis process with our little Tag. We have been visiting with Dr. Natalie Roth at the Utah Behavioral Center. We completed the testing on Monday and Tag was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Level 1 which is the most mild. Although we have felt for a while that this might be the issue but it is tough to hear. With the diagnosis however, we will be able to get him the help that he will need to hopefully be successful in mainstream school. Our plan at the moment is to have him attend special preschool for children with special needs that will start the day after his 3rd birthday. Then in the fall we are hoping to have him attend the special school on Wed and Fri and then attend Mrs. Kayley's preschool Tuesday and Thursday. He will be getting four days of structured learning. We are also going to find some in home therapy that will work specifically on the difficulties Tag is experiencing. Dr. Roth is very optimistic that Tag will be able to enjoy meaningful relationships in his life and be able to be successful in mainstream school. We are his biggest advocates and we are going to do everything we can to help him live his best life. We love you Tag. We don't consider this the end, just a hurdle we can get over together.

Harlee's First Dance Competition

Today Harlee had her first dance competition experience. I cannot believe she is competing already. I grew up competing and loved it. I am so excited to share this with her. She did a great job. The dance to "Hey Little Sister". She plays the part of the older sister and Addi was her little sister partner. They smiled and had "attitude" (according to Harlee) and they were awarded first place! So proud of her! Love that she loves dance!

Toof Fairy

When we were in St. George on our way back from the wedding, Harlee lost her tooth at Costco. She tried to save it in her pocket but it was lost. Joey thought he would compose a letter to help ensure that Harlee would still get her money from the tooth fairy. Such a funny note from their funny dad. Love him! He really makes life fun! And not only did the tooth fairy come- she left Harlee $2! Lucky girl!

Success

After months of planning we enjoyed a wonderful open house for Cory and Holly! We did a drop ceiling with lights and decomesh. We were so nervous that everything would come together but it did! They had a great turn out and were so happy. Their happiness made all of the work so worth it. So excited to have Holly in the family. We just love them!

Nash's Patriarchal Blessing

Nash has been thinking about getting his patriarchal blessing for a little while now.  Harlee told him of how they did a devotional at HXP b...
