Harlee's Preschool Graduation

Can it really be true? Is our little girl old enough to go onto Kindergarten? I really cannot believe how quickly the time has gone. On Friday Harlee had her Preschool Graduation. They had prepared a program where they sang songs and each had a speaking part. She has learned so much and I am so grateful to her teachers, Mrs. Sherri and Mrs. Barb for all that they have taught her.

Luke's Artwork

The other day Luke brought home a large folder with some of his artwork from his 2nd grade year. Luke has always been such a great artist. I love all of these examples of his talent. I will save them for him in a folder but I just in case we lose track of them, I thought this would be a great way to always have them. They made the blog book! Harlee reminded me as I was taking a picture of Luke's gems that she needed one taken of her artwork! I will make sure to do that soon!

Dance Festival

With the end of the school year comes tons of activities. On Thursday Luke and Harlee's school held their annual dance festival. Grandma came to watch the three younger boys so I could watch the kids perform and take some pictures. It was a great show! Harlee and her class did a dance to "Who let the frogs out". It was so cute! I was sitting with Erika and her mom said "Look at that tall girl! She is so into it! She really knows the steps.". She did not know the tall girl was my Harlee! Harlee's partner was Blake. They did a great job. Then Luke and his class performed the May pole dance. He had his hand in his pocket the whole time and did not seem to happy to be doing it. I think he might take after his dad! Such a fun show and I cannot wait to see what they will do next year. *After the program I took a picture of Harlee and her BFF Aubrey. Too cute!

Tag is 2 months!

Can this be true? Time is just going by way too fast. Especially in knowing he is my last baby, I just want to freeze time. Tag is such a blessing in our family. Even though he has become a little high maintenance lately, I cannot imagine our life without him. He loves to be held ALL the time. At night he gets a bit fussy but as a trade off, he is the best sleeper. Last night he slept from 9 pm until 6am. Such a good baby! We just love him so much and feel like he is the best completion to our family.

Luke's Poetry Program

Last night was Luke's poetry program. All year long in Mr. Rocque's clas they have been studying poetry nd memorizing tons of poems. They were each given a poem or two to perform for family and friends. Luke was chosen for a poem bout pilgrims and Indians. Luke also had a part in Casey and the Bat. He did such a great job. He is one of the smartest kids. School work just comes easy for him and I love to watch this talent come to life. We are so proud of you Luke! *Here are a few shots during his poems. An All New Low

So it is very evident that my life is so not about me these days. I am so busy taking care of five little ones that I rarely get time to take care of myself. Case and point: Yesterday around 6pm I realized that I had not brushed my teeth. Oh yes, I went to Costco and to the doctor with gross breath. I am so embarrassed. I need to make sure that is the first thing that I do in the morning.

Moving in...

Well we finally got everything together and we were on our way! We went down to St. George to move everything into our new townhouse! After a nightmare time getting a moving truck, we packed it up and left at five in the morning on Friday. Joey drove the moving truck with Nash and Luke. I followed behind in the pilot with Tag, Harlee, and Gray. It was a pretty good drive. We only had to stop two times and arrived before 10am. We spent the weekend unpacking and getting the townhouse set up. Joey's parents were down there and helped so much with the kids. They got to go to parks and the pool several times. We were so exhausted but got almost everything done by the time we left at 2:30pm on Sunday. I LOVE IT! We are just so lucky to have such a beautiful place to vacation and make memories as a family. Take me out to the ball game...

Luke was given some tickets to the UVU baseball game at school. He was so excited and wanted Joey to take him. Since he had several tickets, Joey decided to take Luke, Harlee, Nash, and Riley. Since the game did not start until 6pm they only made it to the third inning. I did not hear much about the game itself but I did hear about the hot dogs and ice-es that they had! I am so thankful that Joey will take them to enjoy these sporting events. They have the best time!

No more Bottles!!

I am not sure if I have mentioned it before but our little Gray is quite opinionated! He likes things his way and is not one to let you make the decision for him. A little while ago, we tried to switch his bottle for a sippee cup. He just handed it back and asked for a bottle. So while I was at Walmart the other day I bought him his "Big Boy Bottle". I bought him Cars 2 sippee cups. Since he LOVES Cars 2 I thought we might have a chance at switching over. I was right! He has been using the sippee cups for a week now and has not asked for a baby bottle. One big step successfully completed! Now this week we are going to try sleeping in a big boy bed. Once that is mastered, I will attempt to potty train his even more opinionated brother Nash! Good luck to me!

Tag tries the swing

Lately Tag has been a little on the high maintenance side! He is an angel if you are holding him but that makes it almost impossible to get things done. So I brought up the swing from the basement, cleaned it up, and let him try it. To my happy surprise, it was a success! He fell asleep and I was able to exercise, shower, and clean up a bit before he woke up. I am so grateful, and my arms are grateful, for this new toy for Tag!

Mother's Day 2012

Since our church is so early (8:30am), I requested that all festivities take place after church. I came home to a delicious lunch made by Joey and a huge stack of cards. For a few days prior to the big day, the kids were banning me from the office where they were working on Mother's Day cards. The lunch wad so good. Joey made a chicken stir-fry and we enjoyed lunch while reading the many cards. Then Joey gave me some chocolate cinnamon bears (one of my favorite treats and some money because I am saving for some new clothes once I lose the baby weight! It was such a nice day! I am so grateful to be a Mom to these five beautiful children. They keep me so busy and sometimes I feel like a crazy lady BUT the blessings far outweigh the crazy. I love them so much and feel so blessed to have them call me Mom.
