Luke's Patriotic Program

On Monday Luke had his patriotic program. His class had been working all year on patriotic songs, poems, and they even learned the Gettysburg Address. They practiced all year and performed in an assembly for the whole school. Due to Joey's conflicts at work and my doctor's appointments, neither of us could make it. Broke my heart. Thankfully Aunt Jenna was able to go and watch. She took tons of video and pictures. We are so proud of Luke for all he is learning and accomplishing. We promise we will be there cheering you on in your next assembly in May!

Breakfast of Champions

On Friday it was Harlee's turn for her breakfast of champions and Joey was lucky enough to be her guest. When they got there Harlee read her Letter book to him. Then she said that she ate the doughnut and Dad ate the banana! I am so grateful that Joey can take a little time off work and enjoy these special moments with the kids.

Harlee's Field Trip

Harlee was lucky to get to go to the Living Aquarium with her preschool class. She was so excited. She went with her little friend Aubrey and I could not wait for her to get home and tell me all about it. The first thing she told me is that she got to ride on a BYU bus! She was a little nervous that the bus did not have seat belts. She asked me before she went if the police man would pull over the whole bus for this reason! She was so excited to see all the "animals"! She told me her favorite part was when she got to touch a stingray. She said she did not actually touch the sting ray, just his tail! I am so excited that she gets to enjoy these experiences. Our little gal is growing up!

Watching the deer

Gray woke up bright and early this morning at 6am and I brought him downstairs so the others could sleep. Joey was about to leave so we said our morning prayer together. While we did so Gray stood at the back window watching the deer in the yard. When we opened our eyes following the prayer we saw Gray still at the window only now he was missing something. So funny! He uses any opportunity- IE parents eyes closed, to take off his pants. This is the first time that the diaper came off too. He was giggling and loving the freedom! What a funny boy Gray is. His little personality has really been coming out lately and I am loving it!

Scary Moment

Due to the doctor's orders to rest I really look forward to the afternoon. Luke and Harlee are at school and the little boys have a nap. As soon as Harlee leaves I get Gray to sleep and let Nash play. Once Gray is asleep, I will lay down with Nash. Then I get to rest for a few hours. So yesterday I got Gray to sleep. Nash was very quiet while I was rocking Gray so I figured he was playing some type of electronic- Nash's favorite thing to do! So I put Gray in his crib and called down for Nash. No answer. I checked every room downstairs and could not find him. I ran upstairs and checked every room with no luck. I ran back downstairs so worried and scared. Had he left the house? Did someone take him? I ran back upstairs and frantically in my room. On my bed all snugly and asleep was Nash. I had not noticed him come in. He must have been so tired. What a sweet sight and what a relief! After he was found, I joined him for a much needed nap!

Date Night

Harlee has been struggling a little bit with crying when we leave her somewhere. She gets nervous and has a hard time going. We decided to use a little positive reinforcement. So each week we make a goal with a reward. Last week we decided that if she was brave and went to school and dance with no tears, then we would celebrate with a date night. We decided to get pedicures and go to pizza pie cafe. We were suppose to go on Friday night but I was sent to the hospital with contractions. So we went on Monday night. It was so fun to be pampered. Harlee said her favorite part of the pedicure was the little bathtub her feet soaked in. I think the lady felt bad for the huge prego lady and she massaged my legs for a long time. That was my favorite part. Harlee picked out pink glitter polish for our matching toes. After we were done we went to dinner. It is so fun to have this one on one time. I know that she was the one to earn the night out but I definitely was the winner! I love spending time with her.
This week she is working towards going to see Lorax with Dad. She might let Luke go with her she said! So far she is doing great!

What kind of damage can be done with a sharpie?

Last night we saw Gray running around with a sharpie he got from Luke's special marker box. I thought I caught him before he could leave his mark but I was wrong. Gray started in Harlee's room, drew all the way down the hall and finished in the loft area. What a nightmare! Thank goodness for the Mr. Clean Magic eraser. With probably ten of them and lots of scrubbing, we are hopeful it will come clean.

*Seriously could someone this cute be such a destroyer? I think so!



PS- No sooner did I get this all cleaned up, turned my back, and Gray had found another sharpie to decorate the hallway again. Are you serious? Someday I might laugh about this but on that day I really cried.

Miss him already....

This afternoon Joey left for a business trip to Philadelphia. He was suppose to go this week for two days and then next week for a couple, coming home for a few days in between. But with a baby on the way soon he asked to combine the two trips. He left today and he will be back on Thursday. Seriously, I do not know how I am going to do it. Over ten years with this amazing man and I still cannot stand being without him. He is such an perfect husband and father. I rely on him so much and I feel lost without him. I just pray he comes home safely and that this time flies by. I am counting the hours until Thursday.

"I LIKE You"

I really believe that they come as they are. They grow and develop here on earth but their personalities are eternal! Nash came as our master manipulator. Seriously, where does he learn half of the stuff that he does? Lately he has been saying "I like you" to get what he wants. If he can tell that he is in trouble he will say "Mom, I like you!" in this cute voice accompanied by a cute smile. He does not stop there, he loves to tease Joey. Joey will say "Nash, I like you!" to which Nash replies "Dad, I don't like you". What a little stinker. We honestly do not know where he has learned this but he never stops trying to work it to his advantage. Who knew a three year old could be so smart?

Cars

Gray is our car boy! He loves cars. He loves to line them up and push them around making the cutest car sounds. The other day I had to wait until he was completely asleep until he would let me take a car out of each hand. He is too cute! I am loving how he will play independently and give his mom a little break! It is so fun to watch these kids grow and each have their own personalities and interests.

Junior Jazz Basketball

We just finished Luke's basketball season. This year he played on a team with his friend Logan. Logan's dad was their coach and he did a really good job. Luke would have games every Tuesday night and practice on Friday nights. It was so fun to watch his progress from game one to the last one. He did really good and we are so proud of him. He is putting that height to good use!
